The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) may face another setback when it comes to her desire to become a mom. Sally wasn’t trying to get pregnant when she conceived her first child, but she grew attached to her unborn baby and was devastated when Ava Spectra didn’t make it.
Although Sally still probably has some doubts about her ability to be a good mom, that pregnancy shifted her view and opened her heart to the idea of motherhood.
Unfortunately, everything was snatched away in an instant the night Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) had to choose between saving Sally or the baby. Adam obviously made the only choice that he could, so Sally has found a way to let go of her anger and accept what she can’t change.
However, Sally’s fury could reignite all over again depending on what happens in her next chapter. Y&R may have offered a hint about what’s ahead for Sally in the August 23 episode, so let’s talk about that.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) hinted about potentially having a child with Sally down the road since she’d be such an amazing mom. Nothing is obviously set in stone since it’s too soon for Sally to even think about having another baby.
Nevertheless, Sally could latch onto the idea eventually. It could help Sally heal if she starts to get her hopes up about another pregnancy – especially one with Nick instead of Adam since she’s determined to move on from her ex.
It’d be an interesting twist if Sally had trouble conceiving a baby the next time around. It’d come as a shock to Sally after getting pregnant accidentally during the paternity mystery storyline, which ultimately revealed Adam as the baby’s father.
Perhaps Sally could face some surprising infertility struggles that bring a new pregnancy obstacle. There might be some complications from Sally’s first baby loss that lead to problems and make her question whether she’ll ever get the opportunity to be a mom.
That could leave Sally angry with Adam all over again if the blame game starts back up. Sally might get updates on some sudden infertility news and lash out at Adam for robbing her of her only chance at a baby, even if it’s not really his fault.
On the other hand, maybe Nick could be the issue that’s standing in the way of Sally’s next conception.
If Nick’s the one inadvertently causing the infertility drama, that could affect his future with Sally along with their family plans.
