The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) has been trying to find a new path for herself ever since Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) sudden death. Rey had a heart attack behind the wheel in April 2022, which led to a car crash and his sad demise.
Of course, Sharon is a survivor and has been coping pretty well all things considered.
We’ve seen Sharon throw herself into buzzing around the coffeehouse and helping others along the way.
However, it was still a tough blow when Sharon lost Rey so suddenly and tragically. It was difficult news for Sharon Case as well since she loved working with Jordi Vilasuso.
In a new interview with SOD, Case opened up about missing her costar “very much” and reflected on her “sweet and beautiful” final scene with Vilasuso before Rey’s death.
Plenty of Y&R fans miss Rey and Jordi Vilasuso’s portrayal of him, so is there a chance he could return with a twist?
It’s been almost a year since Rey passed away – and Sharon could be on the verge of kicking off a new romance with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).
The timing might be right for Rey to make a surprising comeback.
Naturally, that doesn’t mean Rey has to return alive! The show includes dreams and fantasies all the time, so Rey doesn’t have to appear in the flesh.
Rey could pop up in spirit form or in Sharon’s dream one night. That’d be a great way to put Rey back in the action, even if it’s just for a special episode.
If Chance potentially asks Sharon out on a date soon, then Sharon could find herself missing Rey and needing closure.
Rey might show up in a vision to let Sharon know that it’s OK to let go and move on.
Maybe Sharon and Rey could even share one last dance or a kiss to seal the end of their romance.
Sharon could use an opportunity to say a more final goodbye to Rey before reentering the dating pool.
