The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will do some soul-searching when it comes to his career path. Now that Chance has faced another life-threatening ordeal, Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) is desperate for him to choose a safer position – something that doesn’t require putting himself in danger all the time.
Chance appeared to be on the right track when he became the police chief and was supposedly going to have more of a desk job.
Of course, Chance still landed in the line of fire on an investigation, so Y&R spoilers hint that the only way for him to truly avoid danger is to get away from the GCPD.
When Nina brought up the idea to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), she pushed Sharon to help her talk Chance into doing something safer.
Sharon understood what she was getting herself into when she got involved with a cop, so she wasn’t eager to sway his opinion.
However, it’ll be a different story if Chance chooses a new career path on his own.
Chance has considered stepping away from the police force before, so Sharon will certainly support him if that’s what he really wants.
As Chance contemplates a career change, he might ask Sharon if she’s got any new suggestions for him. That’s when Sharon might suggest that they could work together!
After all, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) bailed on helping Sharon run the revamped version of Kirsten Incorporated.
Sharon fully supports Nick’s decision to return to Newman Enterprises and can handle things on her own if need be.
Even so, Sharon wouldn’t mind some backup and might make a good case for why Chance should come be part of her team.
Naturally, Sharon might have ulterior motives for mixing business and pleasure.
Since Sharon can tell that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) has feelings for Chance, she might hope to limit the time they spend interacting.
Sharon could also ensure she has plenty of bonding time of her own with Chance – and she’ll receive a significant boost in hours spent with him if they start working together.
That said, Summer could easily have a similar idea and try to recruit Chance for some new position at Marchetti.
There may also be a job offer waiting at Chancellor-Winters, so no one would be surprised if Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) or Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) made a pitch.
In other words, Chance may have multiple options to consider!
Nevertheless, it’s possible Sharon will sabotage Chance’s connection with Summer and boost her own connection with him as a work duo.
