Summer could be charged as an accessory after the fact since she’s knowingly aiding someone who committed multiple crimes.
We’ve seen Summer work hard to help Phyllis avoid punishment, so what she’s doing is definitely illegal.
Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) is furious over the situation Phyllis has created, so she’s determined to throw the book at her.
Unfortunately, that could mean making Summer pay too, so Kyle may have yet another marriage crisis on his hands.
Summer keeps telling Phyllis that they’re in this together, so that could be the show’s way of setting up this mother and daughter’s shared jail stint.

Y&R fans know Phyllis already feels terrible for dragging Summer into this mess, but she’ll feel even worse if Summer gets arrested over it.
Christine made it clear that she’s done with people thinking they’re above the law in Genoa City – and that may go for Summer as well.
Of course, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) may think they should cut Summer some slack since she’s been on such an emotional rollercoaster and was essentially Phyllis’ victim.
Phyllis is the one who caused Summer to believe her mother was dead only to show back up and cause a new nightmare.
However, Chance may have to arrest Summer whether he wants to or not if there’s evidence that she indeed helped Phyllis.
Christine may think they’ve let more than enough slide and demand justice all around.
