The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) may have revenge on her mind if Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) lands in prison. Summer is determined to keep her mom out of the slammer, but Phyllis has committed some serious crimes.
Even if Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) can track down EMT Carson (Walter Belenky) and get him to cooperate, there’s no guarantee that’ll prevent Phyllis from facing murder charges.
Phyllis could still go down for killing Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) – not to mention all the other crimes she carried out by faking her death, framing Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and evading the authorities.
At this point, it’s just hard to imagine Phyllis getting off the hook completely. Why should Phyllis get off scot-free after everything she’s done?
It’s unrealistic for Summer to want no jail time for Phyllis, so she really needs to prepare for the possibility that her mom may do a stint behind bars.
Of course, Phyllis could find some way to wiggle out of that sentence eventually, but prison could easily be in her future for a while.
If that happens, Summer’s desire for revenge may take over. Perhaps Summer could decide that if Phyllis has to get locked up, then Diane must be locked up again, too.
That’s especially true if Summer and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) end up divorcing, which would leave Summer with nothing to lose.
Summer could blame Diane as the start of all her problems and plot against her as a result.
Maybe Summer could set some sort of trap for Diane and get her to commit a new crime – a real one this time that she could actually end up in prison for.
Then again, Summer could go digging into Diane’s past as Taylor Jensen and uncover some other buried secrets. There are surely still some crimes in Diane’s history that are just waiting to be revealed.
Once Victor presumably gets updates on EMT Carson’s location and brings him back to town, it could make Summer believe her grandfather can accomplish just about anything.
Victor might get his team to dig into Diane’s background again and see if they can finally come up with something to put her away.
Y&R fans know that news would certainly please Summer as well as Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and plenty of other people in Genoa City.
Bottom line, Summer might determine that if Phyllis can’t roam around free, then Diane shouldn’t get to roam around free either!
