The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, February 7, teases that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will get off the phone with the DNA lab after making an afternoon appointment. Sally will resolve to call Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and then Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) ahead of the test.
However, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will advise against involving Adam once she gets updates.
Sally will plan to have her blood drawn and then get swabs from both potential fathers, but Chloe will argue that Adam never has to know if Nick turns out to be the bio dad.
Sally will wonder if it’s fair for Adam to be the last to know, but Chloe will insist it’s best to leave him in the dark if possible.
At Newman Enterprises, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will think back to kissing Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) before Nick interrupts.
Since Victoria will be negative about his relationship with Sally again, Nick will declare Sally off-limits and take off.
At home, Nate will also have that kiss with Victoria on his mind, but he’ll distract himself from his guilt by making love to Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) when she returns from her shift.
Although Nate will have to get to the office afterward, he’ll assure Elena that they’ll have a romantic getaway this weekend – just the two of them.
Once Nate’s gone, Elena will get a visit from Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).
Tessa will deliver the news about Delphine thinking she was in labor, but it turned out to just be Braxton Hicks contractions.
The whole thing freaked Tessa out, so she’ll worry about not being ready for motherhood.
Elena will admit Tessa will have to learn some skills, but she’ll point out that others will come naturally.
Since Tessa sought advice, that’ll tell Elena that she already loves this baby and is going to be a great mother along with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes).
Tessa will be grateful for the pep talk and will notice that Elena seems to be happy.
Elena will admit that things are going well with Nate, so she clearly won’t have any suspicions when it comes to him crossing the line with Victoria.
When Nate spots Victoria in the hallway outside Newman Media, he’ll suggest clearing the air about their recent brainstorming session.
Victoria will think it was a great meeting and will feel like they should have more – though she’ll add that she means on a purely professional level.
At the Abbott house, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will urge Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) to bring a few changes of clothes and some of her things over.
That way, Diane won’t have to rush back to the hotel every time she decides to stay over.
Diane will worry that maybe they’re tempting fate by being this happy, but Jack will contend that fate is on their side this time.
Next on Tuesday’s Y&R episode, Jack will show up at the ranch.
Victor will wonder if he should be hiding the silver and jewelry now that Jack has resorted to becoming a thief.
Jack will insist he came there to give Victor a word of warning, so Victor will think his rival’s got a lot of nerve since could turn Jack in for his theft.
After Jack brings up Victor’s plot to push Adam out of Jabot, he’ll refuse to let Victor rope Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) into anything underhanded.
Victor will mention Adam’s subpar performance, so Jack will note that he seems privy to some inside info.
Instead of coming there with unfounded accusations, Victor will urge Jack to try salvaging his train wreck of a relationship with Diane – though Victor will love watching it all go up in flames.
Jack will warn Victor to stay out of Jabot’s affairs, even if they include Adam.
Since Victor lost Adam as an employee and as his son, he’ll think that’s on Victor and will encourage him to make peace with that.
Soon after, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will inform Victor that buying up Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) loans will offer quite a bit of leverage.
Unfortunately, it won’t give Victor outright control, so that’ll take more convincing.
Although Tucker isn’t a man who’s easily intimidated, Victor will insist he loves a challenge and will look forward to dealing with “this SOB.”
After Diane packs up a few belongings from her hotel room, she’ll smile over her favorite photo with Jack and Kyle.
Downstairs in the lobby, Tucker will needle Diane about where she’s going, but Diane will make it clear that her life’s on the right track.
Tucker will insist it’s Diane’s happiness to lose before heading up to his suite.
That’ll give Tucker a chance to call Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and leave a voicemail.
Tucker will hope Ashley might give him an opportunity to come clean about his situation so she can understand his subterfuge.
After asking if they can meet for lunch in Paris, Tucker will hang up and hope for the best.
Once Diane reconvenes with Jack at the Abbott house, he’ll reassure her about the right people coming around on their relationship. The rest won’t matter according to Jack.
At Newman Enterprises, Victor will try to send Nate away so that he can speak with Victoria and Michael alone.
Victoria will realize this is about purchasing Tucker’s debt, so she’ll insist Nate should be in on the takeover plot and will think his input could be beneficial.
In Sally’s suite again, Nick will assure Sally that this paternity drama doesn’t change how he feels about her.
Sally will admit to scheduling a paternity test today and will want to start with just testing Nick’s DNA first.
After Sally pushes for honesty, Nick will admit he doesn’t want Adam to know and will hope he never has to know.
That said, Nick will point out that he’ll have Sally’s back if and when she decides to tell Adam.
Once Sally asks Nick to come to the testing center and get his swab done this afternoon, he’ll insist he can make time for that.
At Crimson Lights, Adam will spot Chloe and grill her about what’s really going on with Sally.
Chloe will shut down Adam’s questions before insisting Nick and Sally are bonded now, so Adam will wonder what she means.
After Sally covers, she’ll push Adam to find something else to obsess over since Sally has moved on.
Back at the Abbott estate, Adam will talk to Jack about Kyle looking into some projects that he was overseeing directly.
Once Jack admits Victor knew about Adam’s diminished performance, Adam will think it’s obvious that Kyle is lying about not being involved in Victor’s plot.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Kyle will land on the hot seat with Jack soon enough, so stay tuned to Y&R!
