The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) upcoming paternity test results may not be the real deal. Let’s really think about this pregnancy storyline for a moment and how it’s playing out so far.
At this point, there’s pretty much zero drama. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) has been nothing but kind, patient and understanding over Sally’s tricky situation.
The show has also been careful to keep the baby secret out of Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) hands, so this story’s honestly been rather boring as a result.
It should be more exciting when a woman’s pregnant and has two brothers for “baby daddy” options!
We have to believe Y&R writers are gearing up for a twist that’ll make things interesting.
It looks like Nick will confess Sally’s pregnancy news and the paternity mystery to Victoria on the February 14 episode.
That could give Victoria dangerous information, which she could use to her advantage.
This could be quite important considering the latest Newman sibling battle that’s brewing.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Adam will scheme against Victoria during the week of February 13-17, so he’ll make his sister a target and try to undermine her.
That could leave Victoria craving revenge, so she might arrange for Sally’s paternity test results to point to Nick.
Since it’s what Nick will want anyway and Victoria will feel the child would be better off, she might justify the deception in her own mind.
Of course, it’d be smart for the writers to take this route since it’d offer a big reveal down the road.
Nick might think he’s the father for now, but Adam could be exposed as the true bio dad later on.
Plus, that might be the one thing that finally turns Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) against his beloved daughter.
Victoria is the golden girl, but she might get knocked off the throne for trying to rob Adam of his baby.
That could leave Adam a winner all around once he eventually claims his kid and the Newman CEO seat, too!
There’s a ton of dramatic potential if Victoria has the lab give Sally the wrong paternity results, so stay tuned for updates on that possibility.
