The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that the week of March 13-17 was a short one due to March Madness basketball coverage, but there were still some memorable performances. Amelia Heinle had some especially good scenes as Victoria Newman, so she’s our pick for Y&R actor of the week.
Whether you love Victoria, hate her or perhaps love to hate her, Victoria is who she is!
There’s something refreshing about a character who’s so unapologetically selfish and ruthless.
Of course, it takes a special kind of performer to pull that off, but Amelia Heinle has been doing a wonderful job.
It feels like Victoria has become extra relentless and conniving lately, so that’s giving Heinle some great material to play.
Despite Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) attempt to set boundaries, Victoria refused to give up.
It’s clear that Victoria is a woman who knows what she wants and goes after it.
Heinle had some deliciously smarmy scenes at Crimson Lights, where Victoria shamelessly gushed over Nate and offered to put Elena Dawson’s (Brytni Sarpy) drink on her tab.
It was a fake apology for keeping Nate at the office on all those late nights.
However, Heinle’s best work of the week came when Victoria decided to just go for it and invite Nate up to a hotel room.
Thanks to Heinle’s layered portrayal, we could feel the complex mix of extreme self-confidence and the nervous buzz of hopefulness.
Heinle also delivered an excellent performance when Nate came up to Victoria’s suite and rejected her offer.
Once Victoria was left all alone to fantasize about the night she could’ve had, the disappointment was written all over Heinle’s face.
Soaps need characters like Victoria who are always going to look out for number one.
Victoria shows no mercy and does whatever she wants, so she’s entertaining – even if you don’t agree with her actions!
Amelia Heinle has really found her groove in the role lately, so we’re eager to see where Victoria’s Y&R story goes next.
