The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, May 29, teases that Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) will have to think fast when Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) catches her slipping out of the Abbott house with some suspicious bags of supplies.
Summer will pretend she’s making a clothing drive donation before she heads to the GCAC, where Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will be trying to find Jeremy Stark’s (James Hyde) trail on her laptop.
Phyllis will think there must be some way to prove she did the right thing when she killed Jeremy in self-defense.
In addition to looking through Stark’s emails, Phyllis will mention that she’s trying to find EMT Carson (Walter Belenky) since he was part of her faked death plot.
Summer will feel like EMT Carson is probably on some tropical island by now, but Phyllis will stay optimistic and hope there’s a way out of this mess.
Since Summer will talk about Phyllis’ “other child,” her mom will grow concerned over her not even calling her brother by name.
Phyllis will realize this whole situation has really messed up Summer and Daniel Romalotti Jr.’s (Michael Graziadei) bond, so fixing that will become one of her goals.
Summer will think the most important thing is getting Phyllis off the hook so she can come home instead of disappearing.
After Summer gives Phyllis a stern warning about staying put, she’ll sneak out of Phyllis’ suite once again.
In Daniel’s room, his confession will totally catch Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) off guard. Lily will reel over the news that Phyllis faked her demise to frame Diane and then killed Jeremy in self-defense.
After Lily insults Phyllis for being self-centered and cowardly, she’ll think Phyllis needs to come back and own up to what she did.
Lily will reflect on her own prison experience and act like Phyllis could come out stronger on the other side, too.
Regardless, Lily will think Daniel has to concentrate on the family side of things and let Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) worry about a legal strategy.
Since Daniel will still be trying to keep a lid on all this, Lily will vow not to say anything – though she’ll warn that there’s going to be public fallout.
At Crimson Lights on Monday’s Y&R episode, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will initially seem pleased over Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) good mood and new glow.
After Billy assumes there’s a mystery man making Victoria happy, she’ll confess that she’s seeing Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).
That big reveal won’t go over well with Billy, but Victoria will snap at him for the attitude change.
Since Victoria’s the one who gets to make decisions about her dating life, Billy will try to be glad for her despite his disapproval.
At Society, Nate will manage to pass Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) test after answering a few questions about his intentions with Victoria.
Once Nate offers reassurance about needing supportive people like Victoria in his life, he’ll make it clear that he’s not going to undermine her or Newman Enterprises.
Later, Victoria will stumble across Victor and Nate in the park, where they’ll conclude their chat and part ways.
When Victoria questions Victor about the grilling session results, Victor will confess to approving of Nate – though he’ll know Victoria doesn’t need that approval to do what she wants.
Once Billy heads to the Abbott mansion, he’ll warn Diane that they have to clear her name or else it could destroy Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) along with the rest of his family.
Diane won’t have any doubt that she’ll be cleared, so Billy will seem confused over the reason she’s so certain.
After Chance Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) receives the phone call he’s been waiting for, he’ll report back to Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) about the prints on the celebration of life program.
They were a match for Phyllis – and so was the tearstain that was tested for DNA.
Armed with this new evidence, Christine won’t be able to deny that Phyllis faked her death to frame Diane.
It’ll leave Christine shocked and appalled over Phyllis going to such extremes.
