Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, December 9, reveals that Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) summoned Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) to the town square, where he complained about Lady Whistleblower leaking more storylines.
Leo once again pushed Rafe to find out who was behind this, so Rafe admitted he had a potential suspect.
Rafe opted to keep the person’s identity under wraps since he didn’t want Leo blowing his investigation.
At the Hernandez house, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) talked to Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) about Rafe taking Leo’s case, which Javi was against.
Javi didn’t like the idea of Rafe getting tangled up in all Leo’s drama.
Back in the town square on Monday’s Days episode, Javi popped up and showed a bit of compassion to Leo.
Since Leo assumed things were thawing between them, he wondered if Javi might come back to his room to watch the new Body & Soul episode.
Instead, Javi’s date appeared and turned out to be Kerry (Derek Yates), the Lady Whistleblower fan who threw himself at Leo and got rejected in the summer.
Leo found out Javi met Kerry on a dating app and didn’t look pleased.
Later, Rafe joined Jada at home and admitted he suspected Hattie Adams (Deidre Hall) was the Lady Whistleblower impersonator.
Since Rafe planned to locate Hattie, Jada voiced concerns since she suspected Hattie of tainting the cupcakes.
Jada didn’t want Rafe interfering in the police investigation, so Rafe realized this is what Javi warned them might happen.
After some clashing, Jada and Rafe finally agreed to let the best investigator win and shook on the deal.
Outside the pub on Monday’s DOOL show, Kate Roberts Brady (Lauren Koslow) came along and got updates on Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) quitting Body & Soul.
Joy pretended she was missing home and that she wasn’t sure about this hectic soap schedule.
EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) was prepared to help Joy get out of her contract, but Kate begged her to stay and embrace her talent.
Since Kate was sure they could figure all this out, Joy agreed to stay in her role.
Once Kate left on Monday’s Days episode, Joy told EJ that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) would just have to deal with her presence in Salem. After Joy ripped up the check, she sashayed away.
At the DiMera mansion, Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens) kept pushing for answers about Johnny’s fight with Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson), so Alex confessed it was about Joy.
Since it seemed like Alex was about to spill the beans, Johnny had to think fast.
After Johnny claimed Alex slept with Joy, he acted like he was worried since Alex already had that mess with Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein).
Chanel was concerned about the power imbalance since Joy was new to the show and more vulnerable. Once Chanel said she didn’t want anyone to get hurt, Alex said he didn’t want that either.
Alex privately complained about Johnny’s new layer of deception, but Johnny convinced him to continue keeping his mouth shut.
EJ also came home with bad news and let Johnny know that Joy wasn’t leaving Salem after all.
At Alex’s apartment on Monday’s Days episode, he was thrilled when Joy stopped by and told him about her change of heart.
However, Joy was shocked to learn that Chanel now believed she was sleeping with Alex!
