Days of Ou Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, January 8, reveals that Everett Lynch (Blake Berris) talked to Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) about his suspicious conversation with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) and Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash), but Chad had a hard time believing they were pushing drugs.
When Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) showed up with takeout for her PR meeting with Everett, Chad made himself scarce.
That gave Everett and Stephanie a chance to think back on some fun memories, but the conversation eventually turned serious.
Everett admitted he had a friend who passed away from an overdose, but he never really liked to talk about it since it was pretty traumatizing when he found him.
Although Stephanie worried about Everett’s drug-related expose being too triggering tonight, he insisted on sticking with it.
Stephanie also asked Everett if he had any plans to move back to Seattle, but he hinted about putting down roots in Salem instead.
Next on Monday’s Days episode, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) spoke to Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) about Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) moving to Hong Kong without him.
Ava bickered with Tripp about his desire to stay behind and protect her before Wendy walked through the door. Wendy confessed that she couldn’t get on the plane and announced that she wasn’t moving after all.
As Tripp and Wendy shared a romantic moment, Ava took the opportunity to bolt and let them celebrate along.
Although Tripp was pleased over Wendy sticking around, he expressed concern over his family issues keeping Wendy away from her own.
Wendy acted like her parents had a ton of relatives they could lean on, but Ava only had Tripp.
Since Tripp was acting so uneasy, Wendy wondered if he was secretly relieved over her moving away.
After Wendy lashed out and made it clear that she was in charge of her own choices, Tripp assured Wendy that he wanted her to stay and pulled her into a steamy kiss.
Once Wendy called her mom to deliver the bad news about her decision, she turned her attention back to Tripp.
Wendy and Tripp reaffirmed their love for each other in another romantic scene.
At the DiMera mansion on Monday’s Days episode, Stefan spoke with Gabi Hernandez DiMera (last played by Camila Banus) on the phone briefly and seemed down in the dumps.
Ava eventually showed up and shared in Stefan’s misery since both Tripp and Wendy had decided against moving to Hong Kong. That meant Ava had to keep an eye on them and be more careful.
Chad stopped by to look for a doll that Charlotte DiMera (Autumn Gendron) might’ve left at the mansion, so he was suspicious after finding Ava with Stefan in the living room.
Once Chad started asking questions about Stefan’s drug business involvement, Ava acted like they needed to come clean and kissed Stefan in front of him.
After Ava sold Chad on her affair with Stefan, Chad said he wasn’t surprised and didn’t care. However, Chad hoped Stefan wasn’t tangled up in all the drug drama since it could lead to a house of cards tumbling down.
Once Chad was gone, Stefan blew up at Ava over the betrayal charade. Ava insisted it was necessary to play the part of happy cheaters and asked if Stefan was interested in survival.
When Stefan confirmed that he was, Ava told him to “get interested in this” and planted yet another kiss on him.
At the hospital on Monday’s Days episode, Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) offered sympathy to Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker) along with a blanket that she’d knitted for Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis).
Nicole assured Maggie that she didn’t blame Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann); she only blamed herself for not seeing the warning signs.
Maggie hadn’t seen any warning signs either and pointed out that Holly might’ve been experimenting with drugs that one time.
When Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) showed up on Monday’s DOOL episode, she delivered an artificial orchid to pep up the room since Holly couldn’t have real flowers.
Nicole and Maggie were grateful, but they became concerned once Paulina started coughing and needed water.
After Maggie and Nicole pushed Paulina to take care of herself, she assured them that she had an appointment coming up with her doctor.
Nicole and Maggie also made plans to take Holly out for a spa day once she recovered. Since Nicole’s resolution this year was to spend more time with Holly, she hoped she had a chance to accomplish that.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Holly had a long road ahead of her, so stay tuned for updates on her lengthy recovery process.
