Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 2, reveals that Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker) babysat Jude Brady while Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) talked to Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) off-screen.
That also gave Nicole a chance to answer EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) phone call about her first day, but she simply hinted about working with a photographer and didn’t mention Eric’s name.
When Eric returned, Nicole overheard him leaving Sloan Petersen-Brady (Jessica Serfaty) a tense voicemail.
Eric admitted he had a fight with Sloan, who accused him of treating her like she was never good enough.
After Eric apologized if he ever made Nicole feel that way, she thought they were in a good place and should leave the past buried.
That said, Nicole worried maybe it wasn’t the best idea to work together since Sloan and EJ wouldn’t like it.
However, Eric convinced Nicole that it wouldn’t be a problem, so they started discussing the series Chad wanted on the unhoused in Salem.
Next on Thursday’s Days episode, Sloan found Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) throwing back martinis at Small Bar and got updates on the breakup letter Dimitri von Leuschner (Peter Porte) sent him.
Although Leo said it was Sloan’s fault for letting Dimitri get sent to supermax prison where he ultimately fell in love, Sloan reminded Leo that he promised to keep quiet about Jude.
Leo didn’t want to hurt Jude or Eric, but he was miffed over not getting anything out of his silence anymore.
Sloan argued that she wouldn’t blab about the blackmail, so Leo could keep his reputation as an upstanding citizen.
Leo didn’t think he really had that reputation, but Sloan insisted blackmail could get Leo thrown in prison.
It was in both of their best interests to keep quiet, so Sloan hoped Leo understood that as she left.
In the town square on Thursday’s DOOL show, Sloan called Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) and worried about Leo being a loose cannon now that he’d been dumped.
When Sloan saw Eric and Nicole out for a stroll with Jude, she glared at the three of them nearby.
At the pub, Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) told Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) that her lease application had been denied since she had no job or income.
Ava told Roman to take down the “help wanted” sign and let her whip the place into shape, so he hired her and gave her a week to convince him it was a good idea.
After Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) spoke to Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) about Bayview and John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) recent questions, Ava told him about her new job at the pub.
Meanwhile, Marlena made her way inside and opened up to Roman about some of her concerns, including Eric and Sloan’s relationship as well as John’s issues.
Roman told Marlena he could take some of that off her plate and offered to look out for Eric while she worried about John.
At the DiMera mansion on Thursday’s Days episode, Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) told Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) that she needed to have Gabi Hernandez DiMera (last played by Camila Banus) out of prison before the board meeting if she wanted his help gaining power.
Kristen assured Stefan that she’d figure out how to free Gabi since she always had another card up her sleeve.
Stefan also brought up the fact that EJ knew he was running drugs through The Bistro and did nothing, so he felt like EJ would do anything to keep that news from Nicole.
At this stage of his life, Stefan bet EJ’s marriage was more important that DiMera Enterprises.
In EJ’s office on Thursday’s Days episode, he forced Rita to stay late and wanted to get his hands on all Titan’s financial records.
Rita realized EJ was plotting a Titan takeover on top of everything else and worried he was tackling way too much.
After Harris and Ava broke in The Bistro, they started searching high and low for the black book Gil Carter (David S. Lee) hid.
Stefan walked in and busted the two of them, so Ava and Harris finally explained Clyde Weston’s (James Read) latest order.
Once Harris hinted about his plan to bring Clyde down, Stefan offered to help find the black book.
Harris thought maybe it could be in plain sight, so Ava realized there was a reserve label wine bottle that never had any dust like the others.
Ava opened a special compartment on that bottle, which allowed her to slide out the black book that had been rolled up inside.
Back at the DiMera mansion, Leo showed up drunk and had a feeling EJ would be willing to pay big bucks for his scoop.
EJ was annoyed, but Leo made it clear that his dish was a real doozy!
