However, the soap wouldn’t give any clues on which characters Cherie Jimenez and Al Calderon are playing. DOOL spoilers reveal that on the soap’s official Instagram page, a photo of Jimenez and Calderon was posted. In the caption, the soap teased two newcomers to Salem, but who could they be.
This led to a lot of speculation and some clues might be available from the photo that was posted.
DOOL Spoilers: Cherie Jimenez’s Character
Cherie is dressed in a curve-hugging brightly colored dress. This, along with her long, brown hair suggests she could be the new Gabi. As fans recall, the last time Gabi was seen on-screen, she was played by Camila Banus.
The actress was vocal about not being happy the way Gabi was written off, which was by going to prison.
Who is Al Calderon Playing?
Days of Our Lives spoilers reveal that the photo has Cherie posing with actor Al Calderon. In the photo, the dark-haired character has some facial scruff. Smiling widely, he is wearing an extremely cropped white T-shirt. Perhaps this is the style again?!
In any case, this character is a bit tougher to guess. Some are wondering if Al will play Sonny Kiriakis (last played by Zach Tinker) or maybe even Gabi and Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) brother, Dario Hernandez (last played by Jordi Vilasuso).

As for the actors coming on board with the soap, Cherie is of Spanish, Dominican, Taino Native American, Italian, Sicilian, and Puerto-Rican descent. The actress has been in Maya, Banshee, Pretty Little Liars, NCIS, and more.
As for Al, the actor can be recognized for his roles in Summer Camp, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (SVU), Detachment, Person of Interest, and more.
In addition to acting, Al is credited with two soundtracks. One is for writing the song “Electric” in “He’s All That.” Al also performed a few different songs for “Hello Again.”
