Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) is probably going to need a good legal defense strategy down the road. DOOL fans know Stefan pulled the trigger on Harris and is now facing Clyde Weston’s (James Read) orders to finish Harris off.
After multiple attempts to take Harris out, Stefan is most likely going to get caught sooner or later.
Once that happens, Days spoilers say Stefan could find himself arrested and facing charges that could put him behind bars for years.
However, it looks like Brandon Barash is sticking around as Stefan, so that leaves Days with a big problem. How are they going to get Stefan off the hook for this Harris’ elimination plot?
Clyde Weston (James Read) is threatening to get rid of Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) if Stefan doesn’t follow instructions, but Stefan needs a better legal tactic if he expects to avoid a lengthy stint at Statesville.
There’s a good chance Sloan Petersen-Brady (Jessica Serfaty) will be Stefan’s lawyer, so she may come up with a sneaky way to help Stefan avoid a harsh punishment.
Days spoilers suggest Stefan’s best bet here might be the “brainwashing made me do it” defense since his brain has been scrambled by Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (Richard Wharton) multiple times.
Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) pressured Rolf to make Stefan love Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) again – and then Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) pushed Rolf to undo it in that makeshift lab full of kitchen gadgets.
Of course, everything that was done to Stefan was incredibly experimental and dangerous.
Sloan could easily claim that Stefan is a victim whose brain got fried into becoming more aggressive as a side effect. It’s not true, but that doesn’t matter!
This is all about what Sloan can sell in court. Harris has also committed terrible crimes due to brainwashing, but he’s a free man thanks to deprogramming and therapy.
Now Harris is even a detective at the Salem PD, so Sloan may use all that in her argument and push for Stefan’s own chance at redemption.
Sloan might get Stefan a brief stint at Bayview instead of a much longer stay at Statesville, so that’d be a win after everything Stefan’s done!
Bottom line, Stefan needs an excuse for his actions – and he might have an easy out since Dr. Rolf has treated him like a guinea pig with so many brain experiments.
