General Hospital Recap: Tuesday, April 16 – Sonny Spills a Secret & Hears Ava’s Confession – Maxie’s Love Doctor

General Hospital Recap Tuesday, April 16 Sonny Spills a Secret & Hears Ava’s Confession Maxie’s Love Doctor

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Tuesday, April 16, reveals that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) was having a disaster of a day, so she opened up to Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) and admitted why she was pushing Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) away.

After Maxie mentioned the kiss she shared with Spinelli, she talked about her fear that she couldn’t survive another breakup with him if things didn’t work out.

Felicia gave Maxie some good advice based on her history with Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and tried to give Maxie a nudge to have faith in what she shared with Spinelli.

In Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) office, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) spoke to her about Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) beating and basically said her eyes were open to the truth of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) now.

If anyone else had attacked Cyrus, Laura would have wanted them prosecuted.

It wasn’t Laura’s call to make on whether Sonny was arrested, but she did know whose call it was.

While Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) were out for a run, they bumped into Dex Heller (Evan Hofer).

Trina struggled to understand the breakup and wasn’t sure the new exes did either based on how they were acting.

After Trina pushed Dex and Josslyn to figure this out, she took off. Josslyn confessed her fear that Dex was trying to prove something to her or himself after she came down so hard on him about Sonny.

Although Josslyn urged Dex to drop the cop idea since it made him even more of a target, Dex felt he could stay out of Sonny’s way and suggested this would give him a worthy purpose again.

Josslyn and Dex also agreed they should figure out how to be around each other without making everyone else wildly uncomfortable, especially since Trina needed her friends right now.

At Pozzulo’s, Sonny met with Brick (Stephen A. Smith) and got confirmation that a couple of his guys sent John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) a message a block away from the Corinthos Coffee warehouse.

Agent Cates’ location only further fueled Sonny’s belief that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was working with John, but Brick warned him about the dangers of connecting the wrong dots.

Talk turned to Dex, so Sonny spilled that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) hired Dex to spy on him and tried to take him down.

Brick was taken aback by that news and did his best to offer Sonny support.

When Brick asked how Sonny’s living arrangement with Ava Jerome (Maura West) was going, Sonny said it was nice having a woman around.

By the time Ava arrived later, Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) had already eaten and had fallen asleep in Sonny’s office.

Ava pretended she was reluctant to get into the details of her day since Nina was involved.

Sonny thought the sooner Nina signed the divorce papers and accepted their marriage was over, the better off she’d be.

Ava admitted she sympathized with Nina, but she quickly added that Nina had no one to blame but herself.

As for Ava and Sonny’s unconventional situation at the penthouse, Ava confessed that she liked living with him.

Sonny liked it too and suggested that sometimes unconventional was the way to go.

Back in Jordan’s office, Brick brought her daffodils and flirted until she accepted his dinner invitation, but he had to take a raincheck once he got a business-related phone call.

At GH, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) filled in for Gregory Chase’s (Gregory Harrison) usual doctor and advised him about using a better pill system since Gregory often struggled to keep track of his meds.

Gregory praised Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) for helping him and admitted he was trying not to compare his current condition to where he was a year ago, so TJ thought that was wise.

TJ eventually hinted to Gregory about some of his concerns about Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) and the surrogacy, but Gregory suggested babies had been born in much harsher circumstances for many years and that things would be fine.

General Hospital spoilers say TJ and Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) have more relationship troubles ahead, so we’ll bring you predictions on all the drama along with updates on Kristina’s upcoming delivery.
