General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Danny Morgan (Asher Jared Antonyzyn) has really been struggling with Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) presumed demise lately. It’s clear that Danny misses his dad terribly, but Jason’s Port Charles comeback will obviously lead to their reunion soon enough.
However, the show just revealed something that could cause drama when it comes to Jason’s reconnection with Danny and many of his other loved ones.
GH fans don’t have the whole story yet, but Jason obviously knows who he is and what he’s doing.
This isn’t some sort of amnesia or programming situation; it’s about Jason working undercover to help Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) stay alive!
That’s admirable, but we can’t ignore the fact that Jason left everyone – including his two teenage sons – in the dark on his survival.
Like Danny, Jake Webber (Hudson West) has had a tough time since he got updates on Jason seemingly facing a grim fate in that tunnel collapse.
Between the loss of Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) and Jason’s awful outcome, Jake has had to overcome a lot of grief over the last few years.
That said, Jake is a little older and wiser than Danny, so he may be more able to wrap his head around the complicated aspects of what Jason had to do.
Jason couldn’t stand by and let Sonny get taken out, especially when this threat has been putting characters like Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) in danger, too.
Under the circumstances, Jason probably felt he had no choice but to keep pretending he didn’t survive.
Jason may have had a lengthy recovery process following all the tunnel chaos, but what happened after that?
How did Jason get tangled up in this mob mess and decide to carry out this Sonny protection mission instead of reuniting with everyone back home?
Regardless, Danny may not be quick to forgive and forget! It’s easy to imagine Danny being so hurt and furious over Jason’s deception that he disowns his dad.
Danny has already been acting out lately, so this complex Jason news could actually make matters worse and send him down an even more troubled path.
