General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that it’s always fun to keep up with former GH stars and follow them as they tackle new projects. Many of us still miss Julian Jerome (William deVry), but you can catch deVry in a very different role soon.
Hallmark has a new movie coming out called A Whitewater Romance, which will debut on May 11 at 8:00 p.m.
It stars Cindy Busby and Benjamin Hollingsworth as Maya and Matt, two characters who end up on a business retreat together in the Rocky Mountains.
Of course, Matt and Maya will clash a bit as they get off to a competitive start, but it won’t take long for sparks to fly.
It looks like deVry’s character will play a big part in helping Maya and Matt form a connection.
Based on deVry’s IMDb page, he’s playing someone named Jim Burdett. Jim is featured in a new preview video for the flick – and he offers what could be some life-changing advice.
“If you take this way, it could be toward the greatest adventure of your life,” Jim tells Maya as he seemingly puts her on the path to her love destiny.
Julian was often a bit of a scoundrel on GH, but Jim seems like a nice guy who’ll help play Cupid whether he knows it or not!
It’ll be fun to see deVry portraying a softer character who’s got a knack for matchmaking.
It sounds like Jim will work at the retreat and become part of how Maya gets together with Matt. Maybe viewers will get a glimpse of Jim’s love life somewhere along the way as well.
Regardless, it’s nice to see William deVry popping up in a new project that fans can tune in for.
On Instagram, deVry first shared some hints about the flick when he wrapped filming back in October 2023. Now more details are finally coming out as A Whitewater Romance’s premiere gets closer.
As for whether William deVry might make a GH return someday, anything is possible!
Whether Julian comes back in some wild twist or DeVry plays a new character entirely, plenty of fans would love to see him on the show again.
