In tonight’s LPBW episode, Lilah has a lot coming up. She has to do her sleep study. It’s recommended for people with dwarfism to have a sleep study done so that they make sure nothing happens to her and it was important for another reason. Her own father has dealt with some medical emergencies lately.

It wouldn’t hurt to have Lilah checked by doctors. Only Lilah was going to hate the sleep study. Her parents knew that going in. They knew she doesn’t like new places. She doesn’t like new people. She wasn’t going to like being wired to a machine all night and so someone gets to stay with her overnight at the hospital. And she decided that person should be her daddy.

Zach doesn’t mind. His wife Tori went with their son Jackson when he had his sleep study done. Jackson had been fine and so Zach was hoping for the same with Lilah.

He was hoping he could keep her calm for a night. It helps that they kept talking about it with Lilah. They did their best to reassure her in the week to the lead up. They tried to make it sound fun. Like she was having special daddy/daughter sleepover. They got Lilah excited for the sleep study that way. She couldn’t wait to pack her little bag for the sleepover.

Lilah’s biggest issue will be the fact she doesn’t like to be touched. She hadn’t made that connection between the sleepover and that and so her parents were doing their best to downplay what will happen. Zach’s mom in the meantime went into business with her new husband.

Chris was a builder. He was a lot like Matt in that sense. They both love a project. Amy was the one that hates that and she still chose that in a partner the second time around. The difference now was that Amy doesn’t want to crap on Chris’s dream.

Chris was thinking of owning a large house that could be used as a wedding venue. He saw a property he likes. The only way he could afford it was if they turn it into a vineyard and that would help in the maintenance cost as well as the off-season for special events.

They have a friend who operates his own vineyard with his wife. They stopped by to see him to get him interested in the fundraiser they were throwing. They also asked questions about the vineyard while they were there. And Amy got a nice bottle of wine after talking to Brad.

Amy hasn’t said anything negative about Chris’s idea or even the property. She wants him to figure out for himself what he could do and what his limits are. She didn’t want to nag him by being the Debbie downer. She had to play that part with Matt all the time.

It’s one of the reasons why their marriage didn’t work. Amy was now using a different approach with Chris. She was encouraging him to have a dream. She doesn’t have to worry about kids because all of her kids are grown up. She was a grandmother now and she has far more time to dedicate herself to Chris’s dream than she ever did with Matt’s.

Amy had a weird dream after seeing Caryn’s engagement ring. She dreamt that she lost all her diamonds in her own engagement ring.

The one that Chris gave her. She doesn’t know what the dream meant and she still shared it with Chris because they could talk about stuff like that. Amy labeled the dream a nightmare. Chris agreed with her assessment. He also wanted to know what it meant. He was actually worried about what it meant and Amy put him at ease by laughing at the nightmare with him.

Chris wasn’t like Matt in the sense he could let things go. He and Amy were throwing the fundraiser. He knew that she was in charge and he never questioned it. He instead backed up his wife. Amy found it easier to work with him than she does with Matt.

She and Matt are divorced and he still questions her over everything. It was her fundraiser. It doesn’t matter if its on his farm. It was her event. She’s thrown countless fundraisers in the past and still Matt questions. And so she basically told him that things are going to be done her way.

Chris later dropped the idea of buying the property. He doesn’t know much about vineyards. He didn’t think it was for him and that the maintenance cost on buying such a large property could have bankrupted them. It just didn’t make sense for them. Not now anyways. It doesn’t mean that Chris is going to stop looking. He still wants to buy a big property. He still wants to have projects. He just thought they should get through the fundraiser first and he wasn’t wrong because Amy kept changing things.

As for Lilah, she was amazing for her sleep study. She has a moderate form of sleep apnea. She didn’t mind the nurses touching her or all the wires stuck to her face. Her parents had prepared her for that. She also enjoyed her sleepover with her dad. Lilah did so well that she was rewarded.

She got ballet lessons. She wasn’t the most graceful dancer only she did have fun and that was the whole point of going. Her parents didn’t think she would stick out. They also didn’t think she’d like the sleep study and that went okay. They should know better by now to underestimate Lilah.

THE END!
