The Bold and the Beautiful Recap: Friday, January 5 – Thomas Eavesdrops on Finn Warning Hope – Ridge’s Plea to Brooke

The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, January 5, reveals that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) gave Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) the news about Xander Avant (Adain Bradley) popping up as John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) patient.

Steffy warned that Xander accused Thomas of causing Emma Barber’s (Nia Sioux) grisly outcome, but she assured Thomas that she had his back and told Finn to drop it.

Although Thomas had made some big mistakes, Steffy knew that Emma’s demise was a tragic accident and wasn’t her brother’s fault.

In Finn’s office, Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) wondered why Xander was stirring things up again, so Finn considered the possibility that Xander’s accusation was true.

Hope argued that Xander took his theory to the police, but they cleared Thomas.

Even so, Finn was worried since he cared about Hope and believed she deserved better.

After Finn gushed over Hope’s accomplishments and principles, he suggested that this “detour to Thomas” just wasn’t her.

Hope insisted she wasn’t just some paragon of virtue like Finn believed because of her work at Hope for the Future.

As Thomas showed up outside the door and listened, Hope talked about how Thomas reminded her that she was also a woman.

Finn felt like Hope was rebelling against the good girl image and everything that happened with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton).

When it came to Thomas, Finn believed he was just telling Hope what she wanted to hear.

After Finn said Thomas could be responsible for Emma’s grim fate, he added that Thomas was dangerous and urged Hope to walk away.

Once Hope left, Thomas confronted Finn over the conversation that he’d eavesdropped on. After Thomas insisted he’d never hurt Hope, he warned that no one was going to come between them.

Back at Forrester Creations, Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) reassured Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), who was still concerned about Eric Forrester’s (John McCoo) recovery and whether he’d be the same man.

After the discussion shifted to Thomas, Carter took off and let Ridge speak with Brooke alone. Ridge felt they should let Thomas and Hope have a relationship if they wanted one since they were grownups.

It wasn’t that simple for Brooke, who wondered if Ridge really expected her to put aside all her reservations after everything Thomas had done in the past.

Ridge pointed out that Thomas had been on his best behavior lately. Once Ridge called Thomas a changed man, he insisted that his son was good enough for Hope.

After Ridge shared some lovey-dovey moments with Brooke and asked her to think about what he said, she confirmed she would and gave him a hug.

In the design office, Hope showed back up looking for Thomas and found Steffy instead. That led to Hope admitting Finn summoned her to express concern over her relationship with Thomas.

After Hope brought up Xander’s claim, she assured Steffy that she didn’t believe it. Steffy was glad to hear that and suggested that if these false accusations came out, Thomas was going to need someone to lean on.

Steffy pushed Hope to either be all the way in or all the way out, so Hope flashed back to Thomas proposing and looked pensive.

After Steffy said Thomas needed someone who’d be there for him, she felt it was the least he deserved after all the work he’d done on himself.

Back in Finn’s office on Friday’s B&B episode, Thomas played up how he was rehabilitated and didn’t want any trouble.

Once Thomas warned Finn not to put himself in the middle of his relationship with Hope, Finn thought that sounded like a threat.

Finn ranted about Thomas being dangerous and urged Thomas to reveal what really happened that night with Emma.

However, Thomas warned Finn not to mess with his family or his life with Hope.

Finn wondered what Finn would do if he didn’t listen and sarcastically asked if Thomas would drive him off a cliff, too.

Although everyone else had bought Thomas’ new-and-improved act, Finn saw right through him and knew he was a bad person.

As long as Finn lived and breathed, he vowed that Thomas would never be with Hope!

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Thomas and Finn’s feud will lead to more problems, so stay tuned for updates on all the chaos that’s brewing.
