The Young and the Restless Recap: Thursday, May 23 Michael & Cole Plot to Put Jordan in Real Prison, Victor in the Dark

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 23, reveals that Jordan (Colleen Zenk) will pull a spring out of the mattress and try picking the lock of her cell. After Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) notices that the door to the dungeon is ajar, he’ll head down and taunt Jordan over her futile escape attempt.

Victor will quiz Jordan about her apparent visitor, but she’ll play dumb and push him to just end her nightmare by giving her a poison vial.

However, Victor won’t be interested in showing any mercy and will hint about Jordan still being of use to him.

Upstairs on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will come home from rehab and seem baffled when there’s no sign of Victor at the ranch.

At the tack house, Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) will talk to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) about how distracted Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) seemed at lunch.

After Claire points out there seemed to be tension between Cole and Victor earlier, Victoria will admit Cole is suspicious of Victor and whatever he might be hiding about Jordan’s demise.

Nevertheless, Claire and Victoria will remain convinced that the Jordan chaos is behind them.

Once Nikki shows up, she’ll explain she was doing so well that her therapists allowed her to go home and continue her therapy on an outpatient basis.

Victoria and Claire will have a happy reunion with Nikki, who’ll open the door to Victor once he arrives.

Victor will get Nikki to confirm that her therapists approved her early homecoming and will marvel over how strong she looks.

Back with captive Jordan, she’ll vow to get out of there and go after revenge on Victor as well as his whole family.

At Society, Cole will give Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) a dollar to put him on retainer since he’ll want this to stay confidential.

After Cole reveals that Jordan is alive, he’ll explain how he followed Victor and found Jordan in a cell down in an abandoned wine cellar.

Michael will kick himself for believing Victor’s lies about Jordan drowning and will form a plan with Cole.

Although there’ll initially be concerns about Jordan blabbing to the cops about Victor holding her hostage, Cole will point out that Jordan’s been hallucinating.

Considering Jordan’s history, Cole will doubt that anyone would believe her side of the story anyway.

Michael and Cole will agree that Jordan must be put in a real prison cell, so they’ll plan to carry out the dirty work behind Victor’s back since he’d never agree.

The goal will be to put Jordan in an actual prison facility while making sure Victor stays out of an orange jumpsuit!

At the jazz lounge, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will wake up confused and try to reject Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) help, but he’ll eventually convince her to let him drive her home to her family.

At the Abbott mansion, Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) will speak with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) about the source of Ashley’s trauma.

There’ll be speculation that something happened to trigger this fragmentation for Ashley during her second trip to Paris – the one where Ashley sent Traci home without her and stuck around.

Alan will stress the importance of getting the real Ashley to agree to help in a controlled environment.

Traci will think it sounds like Alan wants to put Ashley in a psychiatric hospital, so she won’t think Ashley would ever agree to go somewhere like Fairview again.

Of course, Alan will insist that he knows some wonderful facilities in Europe, but he’ll act like they can work on deciding all that later.

Once Tucker brings Ashley home, Jack will immediately grow suspicious.

Tucker will explain what happened before Ashley admits she has no memory of her conversation with Tucker earlier.

Ashley will tear up and confess that she’s afraid to even ask what day it is, but she’ll get plenty of support from Alan, Traci and Jack.

Once Jack dismisses Tucker, Ashley will thank him for knowing she needed to be with her family right now.

Tucker will place a hand on Ashley’s shoulder as he goes and will reflect on troubling interactions with her alters once he sits at the GCAC bar.

That’s where Tucker will get a phone call from someone who’ll wonder if he’s going to be joining Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) at the Glissade meetings in Paris this week.

Tucker will reel as he asks if Audra is in Paris, so he’ll obviously worry she’s about to make a power play.

Back with Ashley, she’ll talk to Alan alone and beg for help.

After Ashley shushes the alters’ voices in her head, Alan will offer a prediction on her official diagnosis since he suspects she has dissociative identity disorder – or DID for short.

Ashley will struggle to believe that, but she’ll get updates on the multiple personalities that her family members have met along with Alan.

When Alan brings up the need for a controlled environment to deal with this, Ashley will refuse to let Alan ship her off somewhere.

Nevertheless, Alan will insist he’d be there to check on Ashley and make sure she was receiving the best possible care.

After Alan talks about how they need to identify the source of Ashley’s trauma, she’ll wonder how she’s supposed to do that if she’s blocking it out.

Alan will urge Ashley to come back to Paris with him so they can explore her memories and hopefully get to the truth.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say the mystery of Ashley’s mental health crisis will continue to unravel, so stay tuned for some shocking news.
