The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Diane Jenkins-Abbott (Susan Walters) will grow even more worried about Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) sobriety during the week of May 27-31.
Diane was furious when Jack scored pills and relapsed because of Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), so that’s certainly caused some issues in their marriage.
Alas, more issues are on the horizon now that Nikki has returned from rehab.
Y&R spoilers say Diane will get updates on Nikki’s return to Genoa City, so that may be what’ll force her upcoming ultimatum.
It’s clear that Diane still has serious concerns about Jack’s connection to Nikki – and rightly so since he nearly passed out on pills and booze after trying to help her.
Diane may insist she just doesn’t feel comfortable with Jack being around Nikki right now.
That whole ordeal is still too fresh, so Diane may ban Jack from Nikki altogether – at least until she can feel good about his sobriety again.
Jack broke the trust in his marriage, so it’ll take some work to get it back.
Diane may argue that if Jack truly wants to repair the damage, he’ll stay away from Nikki and put her mind at ease.
If Jack doesn’t comply, Diane may worry that there’s no path forward for them.
Perhaps Diane could essentially hint at divorce if Jack isn’t willing to cut this potential trigger out of the picture.
Since Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) already warned Jack to stay away from Nikki, Diane may argue that Jack should obey orders and not risk another feud with his old rival.
However, Diane’s main concern will be Jack’s sobriety, so she’ll lay down the law now that Nikki’s back in town and presumably banish her from their lives.
Jack and Nikki will come to an agreement in the aftermath, so could they decide to respect their partners’ wishes and focus on their marriages for a while?
Naturally, Nikki and Jack may not be willing to give up their friendship forever.
Jack and Nikki could find it difficult to steer clear of each other as time goes on, so we’ll bring you predictions on any trouble ahead.
