The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) is in a good place after all the divorce turmoil, so she’s ready for a bright new chapter with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).
Summer isn’t wasting time on regrets about the outcome of her failed marriage, so she’s moving full-speed ahead with Chance and hoping for the best.
However, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) expressed concern about how quickly Summer was moving on from Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), so maybe that’s a hint about where this storyline is headed.
After all, most soap characters don’t get the opportunity to stay on cloud nine for very long! Summer and Chance’s romance will inevitably face some complications sooner rather than later.
Of course, the fact that Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) is going to be working on Chancellor-Winters’ board could lead to drama if she starts bonding with Chance again.
It’d be easy to use that as fuel for Summer’s jealousy and spark some clashing with Chance or at least some insecurities that Summer’s forced to grapple with in private.
Regardless, Summer could find herself drifting back in Kyle’s direction at some point. Just because Summer is telling herself that she’s moving on doesn’t mean she’s actually prepared to do that!
Kyle and Summer have a habit of finding their way back to each other, so it may not be long until they start deepening their connection again.
Temptation could be brewing, so what if Summer surrenders to it and lands back in bed with Kyle?
At this point, Chance and Summer haven’t put a label on their relationship, but it’s understood that they both want this romance and are pursuing something together.
Summer and Chance might get more serious before she hops back in sizzling territory with Kyle, so this could turn into another cheating storyline.
Will Summer have a passionate encounter with Kyle and regret it in the aftermath? Could Summer decide it was a mistake and try to brush it under the rug?
Whatever the case, Y&R fans know the truth has a way of coming out in Genoa City, so Summer’s potential betrayal could set the stage for some trouble.
