The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, January 4, reveal that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will try to stay strong when the urge to drink comes roaring back. Although Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) removed the alcohol from the ranch, Nikki could still get her hands on more elsewhere.
As a result, Nikki may find herself staring at a vodka glass and trying her hardest not to throw it back.
Whatever happens, Nikki will keep attending her AA meetings as she fights to break free from the hold the booze has on her.
Of course, it won’t be easy since Jordan has done so much damage to Nikki and the rest of the Newmans.
The mark Jordan left behind will linger, especially on Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) in the psych ward.
Claire doesn’t feel worthy of love after everything that’s happened, so she’ll keep her walls up with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) on Thursday’s Y&R episode.
We’ll see Victoria work to tear those walls down, but the best she can hope for is to chip away at them little by little.
Bonding with Claire will be a long, difficult process, but Victoria will do whatever she can to form a real relationship with her daughter.
At Crimson Lights, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will spill a secret to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), who just had a tense discussion with Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) about where things stand with Chance.
Sharon is all about keeping things fun and casual, but will Chance have other ideas? Since we know Chance is on the verge of a big confession, maybe he’ll admit he’s looking for more of a commitment.
It’s possible Chance will see the potential for a deeper relationship with Sharon, so she may have to decide if that’s something she’s open to.
Then again, Chance’s confession might have something to do with his connection to Summer instead, especially since they had such a great time at the concert together.
Regardless, Sharon will find herself at a crossroads in more ways than one since she’s got a special standalone episode coming up before the week’s over.
