In tonight’s Tracker episode, Bobby hired Colter to find someone. Bobby was the computer guru. He helped Colter claim most of his rewards and so him needed help was big. It was bigger than just him. Bobby’s friend was in danger. Her name is Sun Mai. She was a MMA fighter. They worked out of the same gym.

They both have a healthy distrust of the government. Bobby for his own reasons. Sun because her family was stateside illegally. Their visas had run out. They continued to stay because they built a life in America and they risked being deported if ICE found them. And if that happens, they’ll never be allowed back.

This was the reason why Sun’s own mother didn’t want to report her missing to the cops. Sun has been missing for a day. Her mother thought she had gotten grabbed by ICE and she couldn’t risk checking to see if her daughter had been detained. She didn’t want to be detained too.

Only that’s not what happened here. Sun’s phone was found in the back of her gym. There was even blood on it. ICE wouldn’t do that and Sun would have gotten at least one phone call before she was deported. She wasn’t detained. Reenie made sure of it. She was missing because someone did something to her.

Sun was a great fighter. She was working her way up to the big leagues. She was being approached by actual sports agents and she could have brought in endorsements. Sun got into it with a guy at the gym, but it was nothing. They both dropped it because tempers were high before a match.

Sun was focusing on the big picture and she only took her eyes off it for one thing. It wasn’t for a fight with another guy at a gym. It was with the immigration attorney. Sun and her mom reached out to an immigration attorney to get their papers.

The attorney promised he could help. They paid him upfront only for him to say that things changed. He could no longer help them and he couldn’t refund their money. Well, Sun couldn’t let it go. Her mother wanted to. Sun felt they deserved to get their money back and so she looked into the lawyer.

He claimed his name was Mark Johnson. His real name is Marv Prine. Prine wasn’t a lawyer. He was merely a scam artist and he was part of a whole organization. Colter tracked down good ole Prine. Prine tried to threaten him with a gun when Colter got the better of him.

Colter threatened Prine to get him to talk. Prine admitted that he tells his clients where to go to get money fast enough to pay his “fees”. He was working with loan sharks and the loan sharks would then demand their money back when the case goes nowhere.

They would also demand interests. Most immigrants couldn’t pay back the loans because they couldn’t work legally. They had to get jobs that pay under the table and that was never enough to finish paying off these loans. And so when Sun looked into Prine, she found out about his friends.

Sun then contacted Prine demanding her money back. Prine told her to meet him behind the gym. He instead called his loan sharks friends and they went and collected Sun. They probably would have just threatened her if Sun hadn’t fought back. Only she’s good at MMA.

She tried to protect herself. She and her mom were born in Vietnam. Her mom met an American man. They came to the United States on a visa and unfortunately the American died before they could get their papers. It left them in this limbo that they tried to resolve by seeking out an immigration attorney.

Prine was the one that set everything in motion. He had no idea how to find the loan sharks. He just has their phone number and he knows their operate out of a crappy van. One that he has a partial license plate for. He gave that to Colter who in turn gave that to Bobby.

They tracked down the van. Colter hid Sun’s burner in their van. They then used that to track them down to an off the books boxing match starring Sun. Sun was being forced to work off her debt. There was also greater chance of killing her with these fights because its not like anyone cares about the fighters or their well-being. Or standing by regulations.

Sun will be forced to fight after fight until it kills her. They were never going to let her go. She will never pay off her debt. Colter realized that for himself. He went into the building and he told Bobby not to follow him. Bobby didn’t listen. He followed.

He came in handy because he stopped Colter from getting shot. They also learned who was behind this whole thing. It was Art. The man that runs the gym that both Bobby and Sun work out of. He’s the one that told Sun about Prine. He’s the one that got her in debt because he wanted to use Sun’s notoriety to draw crowds to the illegal fights.

It was all Art. He was just using Prine as a cover. Colter helped Bobby and Sun escape from him. Colter then went after Art and he held at gunpoint until the cops arrived. He will be charged for his many victims. Just not Sun. Sun was meanwhile taken home to her mother.

Reenie would inform everyone the next day that Prine was facing charges. Also, Sun and her mom can now apply for a special kind of visas for victims of a crime. Reenie will be their lawyer. She’s not going to charge them anything.

Reenie also gave Bobby and Sun some alone time. It seems they both have feelings for each other. And now they can finally pursue it.

The only one that wasn’t getting something out of this was Colter because he said Bobby paid that debt by saving his life.

THE END!
