Tonight on NBC America’s Got Talent begins with an all-new Wednesday, September 3, 2025, episode and we have your America’s Got Talent recap below! On tonight’s AGT season 20 episode 17 “Quarterfinals 3 Results″, as per the NBC synopsis,
“America’s votes will reveal which three acts from the previous night’s show will move on to the semifinals. One act advances that got sent straight to the finals last night with the competitive live show Golden Buzzer.”

On tonight’s America’s Got Talent episode, Lindsay Stirling opened the show with her magical violin. There were eleven acts yesterday and one of them has already made it through to the next round thanks to Simon. Simon hit the Golden Buzzer for Micah Palace. He was safe tonight, but that couldn’t be said for the majority of the acts.
There was a brief recap of the earlier performances. The show also showed some moments behind the scenes. There was some lackluster clapping from Sofia. There was a very enthusiastic Simon who was nicer to people after his criticisms. And yes, there was some arrogance from the act that felt they didn’t need to change a single thing.
Now, onto eliminations. The first grouping up for elimination was Chris Turner and Maceo Harison. Chris made it through to the top five and sadly Maceo was eliminated tonight. The next group had Anna Saranina up against Jacqueline & Wagner. One caught an arrow to her heart. The other twirled into the air without a safety net. Both acts were stunning. They could both work in Las Vegas. It was a tough choice and America ultimately chose to send Jacqueline & Wagner to the top five for tonight. Then it was the others.
Jessica Sanchez was competing against the Benn Family Band. They both gave heartfelt performances. Jessica was on season one when she was ten years old and she was back as a pregnant adult to fight for her dream. Only she was up against the Benn Family Band. This family has lost so much. They have remained strong in the face of adversity and so again it was a tough one. The winner this round proved to be Jessica. Jesicca was part of AGT history. They wanted to give her another chance to fight for her dream.
Jessica also showed it’s never too late to come back. It took her twenty years and a journey of self-discovery before she remembered how much she loved music. Benn Family Band can hopefully come back as well. With Jessica making into the top five, the next pair off was between Mastermind and Austin Brown. Austin fought for a chance onstage this season and his performance yesterday left the judges torn. The same goes for Mastermind. It was Mastermind who won that round and some still don’t understand his brand of magic.
The next round was between Girish & the Chronicles and Messoudi Brothers. They both upped the ante the night before. The brothers were great with the female audience. the rockers were great with the male audience. who votes more? It turns out the women were more steadfast than the men. The Messoudi Brothers won this round. They joined the top five and Mel B. couldn’t have been happier. There’s a chance the brothers might even find a gig at Mel’s next birthday party. And with that, the top five was settled for the night.
Up next was a performance from the Clairvoyants. Lindsey may not have had an actual magical violin because she simply played it so beautiful that it felt magical, but the Clairvoyants were indeed magicians. They had fun playing with the whole audience. Then it was back with eliminations. Just because they made it into the top five, doesn’t mean they made it into the next round. There were only three out of the five going through. The first act revealed to be safe was Mastermind. The one threw some people because again not everyone understood his brand of magic.
The next person going through to the Semi-finals is Chris Turner! The freestyle rapper brings in a fresh approach that the audience has never seen before. It might even be enough to carry him through to the Finale! As for the last safe act of the night, it was Jessica Sanchez. She’ll be going to the Semifinals with the others and it better be soon or else all this excitement might send her into labor.
