Beyond the Gates spoilers for Friday, May 2, imply the moment Dana “Leslie” Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) has been waiting for has finally arrived.
During the Thursday, May 1 episode, Ted Richardson’s (Maurice Johnson) and Nicole Richardson’s (Daphnée Duplaix) anniversary party was in full swing.
As the happy couple were saying their speeches, Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) interrupted, trying to get them to leave the event, but it was too late.
It was interesting because Eva attempted one last time to convince Leslie to stop her plan of embarrassing Ted on his big night with Nicole.
The couple thanked their temporary assistant earlier in the night and offered to help fund schooling to become a medical assistant.
As Eva tried to stop Leslie from spilling her bombshell after this, Leslie locked her daughter in a supplies closet to stop her.
Thankfully, Eva was rescued; however, it was too late to stop her mom.
As Eva was begging Ted and Nicole to leave the podium and leave the event, Leslie emerged, decked out in a party dress.
She shocked Ted, Nicole, and their party guests, taunting the honorees.
This is when she poised herself to finally spill her bombshell: the decades-old affair she had with Ted, and the fact that Eva resulted in that fling – a fling Ted moved mountains to keep under wraps for years.
Leslie will likely tell all during the May 2 episode and rock everyone’s world, especially Nicole’s.
A BTG preview shows Nicole completely blown away by Leslie’s bombshell, and it sounds like the rest of the Dupree family will be floored by Leslie’s revelation, too.
While Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie), Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis), and Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) will rally around Nicole, the couple’s kids will react very differently.
Katherine “Kat” Richardson (Colby Muhammad) could sense that Leslie and Eva were up to no good and leading up to the party, and even on the day of.
During the May 1 episode, she was desperate to get to the bottom of things but couldn’t find any concrete evidence.
Kat will likely be an emotional mess once the proverbial poop hits the fan, but her brother Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) will be another story.
A Beyond the Gates preview shows Martin violently pushing his dad at the country club in the aftermath of Leslie’s announcement, so things will get very chaotic.
Meanwhile, Bill Hamilton (Timon Durrett) will learn about what’s happened at Ted and Nicole’s party, and he’ll spill the tea to Hayley Lawson-Hamilton (Marquita Goings).
While the two will take jabs at Ted’s scandal and laugh about it, Bill will be a tad concerned about any backlash from his role in Ted’s affair.
Still, it seems like the Hamiltons will be overjoyed at the Richardsons’ misfortune and likely be relieved that Ted will now bear a little of the brunt when it comes to the Dupree family’s disdain where sons-in-law are concerned.
Across town, Derek Baldwin (Ben Gavin) and Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob) will continue to clash about their new living arrangement.
It seems they’ll have to face some “messy” realities, so expect some conflict between the two during the May 2 episode.
There’s a good chance that Derek will be a sloppy houseguest and Ashley will be a neat freak.
Beyond the Gates spoilers hint that this could be the beginning of the end where this super couple is concerned, so will Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) ditch his situationship with Dani if Ashley becomes available?
