In tonight’s Elsbeth episode, Tiff Giles used to be a famous supermodel. She along with others of her generation were known as Glamazons. They did one cover all together and it trended before the word was even a thing. Tiff was also painfully disfigured after that photoshoot. Someone attacked her.
They assault took out one of her eyes. She was left permanently impaired. She left the modeling world. She retired to a life as a bar owner. She works there as well as a bartender and that was it until she was contacted about a Glamazons reunion thirty years later.
Tiff returned for the reunion photoshoot because of something an old rival said. Madison Fortune now runs the modelling agency. She and her husband wanted to do the reunion photoshoot.
They got everyone else onboard. It was just Tiff left. Tiff was going to turn it down until Madison said she was sorry about her disfigurement when she heard about it that morning. Though oddly Tiff wasn’t identified until that afternoon. The news didn’t break into the media that night. The morning after the attack the other woman was on a flight to do a photoshoot.
That only left the morning of the attack. How did she know about it? Tiff realized that Madison and her then-boyfriend TJ must have been behind it. They were each other’s alibis back then. They claimed they were in the Hamptons. Now, they were married. They took over the modeling house.
They were doing well for themselves and it was off the back of Tiff’s disfigurement. Tiff was the one that stood out back then. She was the IT Girl. She was making the most money and suddenly she gets taken out of the picture. And it was Madison who was suddenly the new IT Girl.
Tiff realized that those two did everything for mere modeling contracts. She then planned her revenge. She went to the reunion photoshoot. She saw both Madison and TJ. They were married only things weren’t perfect. Madison was still drugging herself. TJ now waits in his man cave until she goes to sleep before he comes upstairs.
Tiff learned all of this as she planned her revenge. Tiff later killed Madison. She drugged her and pushed her off the ledge off a interior platform. TJ found the body hours later. He didn’t hear a thing. The security cameras didn’t pick up Tiff entering.
The couple lived at the same modeling house where the Glamazons all lived together. Tiff knew exactly where the secret entrance was and she used it to avoid the security cameras. She planned it well. She just made one mistake. She was a little too quick to point fingers at TJ. She wanted both to pay for what they did to her. No one was ever charged in her own crime. She wanted justice if not revenge and so she deliberately went to the cops to tell them that Madison was supposedly afraid of TJ.
Nadine was a friend of Elsbeth’s. She was one of the Glamazons at the house. She knew for a fact that Clyde would never kill Bonnie. The cops still had to bring TJ in for questioning.
TJ has been spending a lot of time in his man cave because he was being audited by the government. He was a promoter. He gets paid under the table since the 90s. The IRS found out about it and they want their money. Money didn’t have and so a dead wife would help him out. Her death benefits could be enough to keep the hounds of the IRS at bay.
Tiff told them that Madison feared her husband was drugging her. They found drugs in the autopsy. They even found a glass with TJ’s fingerprints and benzos residue in the glass.
TJ looked at that photo of the glass. He said it wasn’t one of theirs. He believed someone was trying to frame him. They asked him who hated him that much and he knew right away it was Tiff. So, the cops wanted to know why. The statue of limitations was over for the crime and so TJ admitted that he did assault Tiff that night.
He got the idea from Tonya Harding situation. It was on the tv at the bar where he and Madison were drinking. They were drunk and amping each other up. It led to TJ attacking Tiff. She fell on her disc player. Her Jewel CD carved into her face. The couple hid their part. The cops thought it was a robbery gone bad.
The couple got to move on and Tiff never did. Tiff’s spirit was broken by what happened to her. She dropped modeling. She moved to Pennsylvania. She stayed there and she wouldn’t have come back if they hadn’t come looking for her.
The sad part was that Tiff used the money that Madison paid her to ultimately build a perfect alibi. They couldn’t arrest her. They couldn’t prove she used the secret entrance.
Elsbeth later found evidence thanks to the help of a bartender at Officer Grace Hackett’s standup routine. The bar tenders tend to coil around wine bottles before putting in their pockets. They also leave behind fingerprints on the top. They found the foil from the wine that Madison drunk that night. Tiff made the same mistakes as plenty of bartenders. She left in an apron.
Tiff was arrested. She confessed she did it as revenge for what they did to her. She was out and TJ was facing legal trouble. There was only one person could take over the modeling house. It had to be Nadine.
And while they all didn’t enjoy Grace’s standup routine, they were glad she found a way to make the world laugh in spite of everything they see on the job.
