In tonight’s FBI recap unfortunately, a list was made public. The list was of undercover federal agents. It listed their real names as well as their pictures. FBI Special Agent Gavin Rice was on that list. He was undercover in the Irish mob.
He’s been undercover before and he knew when to leave if anyone suspected him. He never sent out the call for help. He never even suspected the man that would later kill him.
He was killed by Denis Brady on what he thought was a routine stop. They were supposed to be following up on a protection racket. Brady killed him when he couldn’t get Gavin to break the law with him. He would later say that Gavin was mocking them by pretending to be one of them.
Men and their pride!
Gavin was undercover with the Sullivan Organized Crime Group. They were run by Sean Sullivan. Sullivan was already on a flight back to Ireland when he gave the go ahead to kill Gavin. While the feds missed out on Sullivan, they still arrested his crew. They also captured Brady. Brady was on video killing a federal agent.
He would’ve normally been sentenced to life in prison if not the death penalty and so he made a deal for himself. He wanted a prison of his choice. He also wanted visits from his wife. He got to demand all of that because he knew about the list.
Brady told the feds after his arrest that Sullivan bought Gavin’s details. Brady gave the feds the man who sold the information. His name is Curtis Swann. The feds set up a fake buy with Curtis.
They found out that he had photos with the people’s whole file on the back of it. He was putting people at risk. Gavin was killed because of him. There’s no telling who else was in danger because Curtis quickly lawyered up. Jubal had his people follow up with everyone that Curtis outted. They determine that the list was comprised by real information taken from their office.
The files were internal use only files. There must be a leak within the FBI. Whoever it was that sold the information to Curtis must be working for the FBI. He gave Curtis the information.
Curtis then sold the information to any gang looking to see if there’s a rat within their ranks and so the FBI called in every undercover agent at risk. Which upset Special Agent Dani Rhodes. She was investigating gun smugglers. She also knew that if she was called in its because there’s a bigger situation than her case.
Dani demanded to be put on this new case. Isobel needed someone from the outside to question the suspects. She let that be Dani. Dani questioned everyone they suspected of leaking the file. The FBI Agents were all cleared. Dylan McKelvie however wasn’t an agent. He was an IT guy.
He comes in every six months to patch up any leaks and something changed with this last visit. He must have realized he was sitting on a goldmine. Curtis made millions. If a mere fraction of that goes to McKelvie, he could live out his life comfortably in a non-extradition country.
The feds look into where McKelvie was trying to convert his cash into diamonds. They found him. He tried to run only he didn’t make it that far. McKelvie was arrested.
He revealed he didn’t do it for the money. He said he was disgusted with federal overreach. He was also diagnosed with ALS and the unsaid part was that he wanted to enjoy the rest of his life in style. McKelvie also said there was an eighth person in the files he stole.
He got Maggie’s file. She was undercover with some ecoterrorists. McKelvie admitted he stole Maggie’s file with the seven others and that Curtis didn’t have it because he couldn’t get into contact with the people she was spying on. Only McKelvie didn’t give up or just made do with seven. He actively searched for the ecoterrorists.
He made sure that they got the file even if they didn’t have to pay for it. He hated the FBI that much. Maggie didn’t know about the leak and she was caught unaware when the ecoterrorists turned against her. They left her in a van they set on fire.
Maggie was thankfully rescued by OA before she could be harmed. She told her friends that the group has a bomb. They wanted to target an oil pipeline initially.
They might have charged targets after Maggie was outted and she knew who the leader was. The leader was Josie DiArmes. She was the daughter of Grant DiArmes. He was a huge oil tycoon. His daughter was using his money to fund the environmental movement. Josie also wanted to do things the right way. She didn’t want anyone harmed. And some of her people disagreed with her leadership.
They left Josie to be captured while they took the bomb to an oil tanker in Greenpoint. They could potentially kill thousands with their bomb and their use of it at that location. Josie didn’t want that to happen.
Neither did Maggie. Maggie and Josie bonded over the past few weeks. Maggie was the one person that didn’t always question everything Josie did. Josie didn’t want anyone hurt and so she told Maggie everything she knew about the other location. The one her own people kept pushing her to attack.
The FBI brought a full army to the Greenpoint location. They evacuated as many people as they could. They went looking for the bomb and unfortunately it couldn’t be stopped once it was activated.
They had to focus on making sure it wasn’t activated. Maggie later killed the man with the detonator. She also arrested all the others she could find. They told her that the movement couldn’t be stopped, but it will be hard without Josie’s money.
And Dani made a good impression on Isobel. Isobel was looking for a field agent and it could be Dani.
THE END
