General Hospital (GH) recap for Friday, August 1, reveals that Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) voice stunned Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) over the phone while Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) got a fake newlywed resort mission.
At the Metro Court pool, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) saw that Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) was banged up, but he gave her the same phony ravine tale that he gave the police.
Kristina was grateful to Marco for saving her life at the pub, but she wondered if he regretted it since he missed being there for Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue).
There was also some talk about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), but Kristina assured Marco that her dad wasn’t connected to Natalia’s demise and wouldn’t have hurt her.
At GH, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) sought Felicia Scorpio’s (Kristina Wagner) advice handling this Sonny situation, so she urged him not to let Sonny get in the way of his personal relationships
At Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) office, she met with Sonny and put him through a grilling session regarding Marco’s kidnapping.
Sonny insisted Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) was the dangerous one, but Alexis dropped a hint about Kristina following in her father’s footsteps based on recent behavior.
Although Sonny was puzzled over what that meant, Alexis managed to cover her blunder.
Lucas eventually crossed paths with Sonny at the Metro Court pool and hinted that maybe someone should tell Kristina about Sonny abducting Marco.
Sonny simply told Lucas to do what he had to do and walked away.
As for Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), he showed pool boy Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) a picture of Greta the courier.
Danny remembered her as the big tipper Josslyn told him about since he got $50.
Dante realized Josslyn was at the pool that day with Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton (Daniel Goddard) when the woman grabbed the backpack.
While Dante was at the pool, he watched Emma Scorpio-Drake’s (Braedyn Bruner) flirty attempts to butter Dalton up with Outback by her side.
Emma eventually talked to Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) about a big lecture Dalton was planning for.
While Dalton was speaking at the event, Emma wanted to use the stolen master key to break in the lab.
Gio insisted he’d do it on his own since it’d raise suspicions if Dalton’s star student wasn’t there taking notes.
At Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) place, Jason gave her updates on the Britt airport sighting and the lack of cremation evidence.
Anna ultimately suggested Britt might’ve faked her death to avoid having people watch her Huntington’s-related decline.
That’s why Anna advised against tracking Britt down since it could mean disrespecting her wishes.
In Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) office, Josslyn and Vaughn were confused over why they were getting pulled from the investigation, but Brennan said Dalton was no longer the primary target.
It was more important for Vaughn and Josslyn to dig into what was happening at the Five Poppies Resort in Dalmatia, so they were given fake names and rings so they could pose as newlyweds.
Josslyn worried about how it would look if she suddenly bailed on being Dalton’s assistant, but Brennan didn’t think it was a big deal.
Even so, Josslyn was worried about Emma replacing her and getting tangled up in something dangerous.
Brennan was adamant that this mission was important and that people could die if they didn’t do their part.
This trip was supposed to last two weeks, but Brennan suggested it could be extended if necessary.
Brennan also spoke with Josslyn alone and made it clear that she needed to sell her part in this fake newlywed love story.
At the Five Poppies Resort, Britt wanted her car brought around so she could go out for a fancy dinner.
A man named Pascal (Mark Forget) shut down the idea and pointed out there were lingering concerns since Britt previously hit a donkey.
Although Britt was willing to have a driver take her into town, Pascal insisted “he” thought it was based if she remained on the property considering her medical condition.
There was obviously a mystery man in charge who would prefer if Britt stayed on site.
Britt assumed she ruffled feathers with her Paris trip and wondered if she was just supposed to stay cooped up until Greta (Carolyne Maraghi) brought more data. Pascal assured Britt that he’d pass that message along.
Since Pascal was the manager, he returned Jason’s call about booking a stay there.
Jason was on the phone with Pascal when he heard Britt come barging in looking for her car keys, so he definitely knew her voice.
Back with Dante, he reconvened with Anna and gave her all the news he got from Danny about the courier.
Dante also mentioned Emma cozying up to Dalton and left Anna even more worried about her.
General Hospital spoilers say Anna will take steps to protect Emma, but some trouble is still to come!
