General Hospital (GH) recap for Friday, September 26, reveals that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) was kicked out of the church before Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) had a trespasser encounter.
Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) also took some baby steps toward family bonding, so here’s how things played out on Friday’s GH episode.
After Drew’s memorial service interruption, he made it clear that he wanted to pay his respects to his mother.
Tracy argued that Drew wasn’t related to Monica and physically wheeled him out of the church, so Drew was livid.
Once Drew headed back to the hospital, he gave Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) updates on what happened.
Drew knew he’d never be a true Quartermaine and suggested Monica’s demise now gave him the green light to go after Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).
Although Drew didn’t remember who shot him, he told Martin about his plan to pretend he had a memory flood and point the finger at Michael anyway.
Martin suggested Tracy was more deserving of Drew’s fury, but Drew definitely planned to get back at her, too.
There was talk about the Quartermaine family legacy crumbling and the karma that was coming.
Back at the church, Tracy found the strength to make her speech in remembrance of Monica before everyone continued celebrating her life back at the Q mansion.
Gio wound up chatting with Grandpa Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) about music and enjoying some Quartermaine family stories in the kitchen later.
Tracy also reconnected with Gio a bit, so Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) urged Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) to stay positive since Gio had taken some baby steps toward embracing his family.
After Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) shared a sweet moment with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), he made one last loving speech to Monica on the staircase alone.
There was a Quartermaine family toast to Monica, whose picture was also placed on the memorial wall of the hospital.
GH viewers were ultimately treated to some great Monica flashbacks as the show wrapped up their tribute.
Once Tracy made her way to the Quartermaine crypt, she found a trespasser and demanded to know who she was.
The woman (Erika Slezak, who’ll soon be revealed as Veronica Bard) realized she must be talking to Tracy Quartermaine and said she was someone who’d been waiting quite a while to meet her.
