General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) could be locked up for extortion while Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) gets off scot-free for shooting him. Could that legal twist be the next step in this long and winding GH storyline?
Drew has been fiercely defending Willow’s innocence and is counting on Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to convince the jury of the same thing.
Alexis has obviously faced some tough setbacks in court, but she’ll come roaring back with a new strategy soon.
Thanks to the anonymous letter Alexis received, she knows Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) was at Drew’s house the night of the shooting and that Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) is covering for him.
Those shockers will surely come into play in the courtroom at some point.
Alexis will pull out all the stops to make sure she scores Willow a not guilty verdict, so she might actually walk away with a victory.
Of course, the problem is all signs point to Willow truly being the shooter!
Alexis may be helping Willow get away with her crime, even if the victim himself doesn’t realize it yet.
Drew doesn’t want to believe Willow’s capable of trying to wipe him off the map, but there’s a good chance that’s indeed what she tried to do.
Willow is likely the one who pulled the trigger on Drew’s twice, but she may get off scot-free with Alexis’ help.
That could be a relief to Drew at first, but he may be horrified once his memory of the shooting finally comes back.
Drew may eventually realize he married his own attempted murderer and end up reeling over Willow’s actions.
As for Drew’s personal legal woes, he could be in hot water now that the blackmail news has been exposed.
Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) testified against Drew under oath, so he could be looking at prison for extortion.
It’d be quite the twist if Drew was the one who landed back in Pentonville because of this trial, which brought his blackmail plot out into the open.
Drew might get stuck behind bars again while Willow keeps her freedom despite committing a far worse crime.
