General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of July 28-August 1 suggest that someone unexpected is about to knock on Dr. Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) door in Dubrovnik, Croatia, so let’s talk about who the good doctor’s unexpected guest could be.
The ABC’s promo for this week offers some explosive insight into this storyline, as Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) turns to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to talk about what he saw while at the Paris airport.
In fact, Jason will believe in his heart that Britt is alive, and it sounds like he’ll push the button on looking into this further.
As the preview video wraps up, Jason can be heard saying, “Britt’s still alive, I just have to be sure.”
Meanwhile, the next clip shows Britt on her couch, with her laptop, as she hears an unexpected knock at the door.
So, who will pay Britt a surprising visit? Most GH fans are hoping it’ll be Jason, but viewers know it may not be that easy or simple for the two to reunite.
After all, Britt is wrapped up in Henry “Hank” Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) lab drama.
GH fans may recall that Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) told Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) that the ‘Courier’ linked to the PCU professor’s research made a stop in Paris, and then headed to Dubrovnik.
These are the very same steps Britt took during her travels on the Monday, July 21 episode.
While the goosebumps on GH viewers would be in full effect if Jason were to knock on Britt’s door this week, the reality is, someone linked to Britt’s new line of work will likely be the unexpected visitor, so could it be Dalton?
Then again, as fans know that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) is an investor in Dalton’s lab work, it wouldn’t be hard to see him make the trek to Dubrovnik and arrive on Britt’s doorstep without sending a text first.
Britt’s interaction with Sidwell could offer more information on why she potentially faked her demise, and what she’s been up to in the years she’s been away from Port Charles.
With that said, what about the mysterious “other” investor who seems like an even bigger threat than Sidwell?
Sidwell is a bonafide baddie, but even he seemed nervous about how displeased his mystery partner was with the lack of progress Dalton has made.
There’s been a ton of speculation that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) could be resurrected for this storyline, and Sidwell’s co-ally in Dalton’s lab work.
However, other GH fan theories include Lorenzo Alcazar (Ted King), or even possibly Jerry Jacks (Sebastian Roché) – just to name a few.
Another possibility is a major plot twist, where Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) could be at Britt’s door, and surprises everyone by showing fans that she’s been in the know about her daughter being alive, all this time.
Liesl is slated to have an encounter with Jason during the July 28 and July 29 shows, so if Jason pushes for her to dig up Britt’s grave, and she pushes back, this might be the reason to pay Britta a quickie visit to warn her that people are suspicious.
Plus, it’s so hard to believe that Britt would hide from her mom and not keep her in the loop about this.
General Hospital spoilers suggest that whoever is on the other side of the door is sure to catch fans completely off guard, but also offering more intel as to why Britt’s stayed away from PC, and the trouble she’s into, now!
