General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, September 25, reveals that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will face a tough task as Monica Quartermaine’s (Leslie Charleson) funeral starts. Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) will also be back in Port Charles, so here’s what GH fans can expect.
For starters, there’s good news to report when it comes to Tracy’s final casino bet. The off-screen outcome will bring Tracy’s return to PC, so she’ll indeed be in town for Monica’s memorial service.
Tracy nearly skipped the funeral since she’s lost too many people already and isn’t coping well with the loss of her dear friend.
However, Tracy will find her strength on Thursday’s show and start bossing people around as usual.
When Tracy descends the Quartermaine staircase and finds everybody standing around, she’ll try to move any last-minute memorial prep along.
Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will gear up for a difficult goodbye that she’s not ready for.
The same goes for Jason, who’ll face the tough task of enduring this funeral and ultimately laying his mother to rest.
Of course, hearing from Monica herself could make the day a bit more bearable.
Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) will mention a letter that Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) will apparently read, so Monica may have left a message with some of her final wishes.
Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) has been recovering in the hospital, but he’ll don some memorial-appropriate attire and insist on attending the service.
There may be concerns about Drew leaving GH too early and risking a setback.
That said, the biggest fear may be whether Drew will cause drama with his presence at this event.
Drew certainly knows how to provoke those around him and become the center of attention.
That’s the last thing that needs to happen on a day that should be about celebrating Monica’s life and the lasting legacy she’ll leave behind.
Someone like Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) or Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) might push Drew to sit this one out, but we all know how stubborn he can be.
If Drew does land at the church for the service, he may face warnings from the Qs to be on his best behavior.
