General Hospital (GH) recap for Tuesday, April 8, reveals that Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) lied to Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) while Ava Jerome (Maura West) settled on a blackmail target. Lois Cerullo’s (Rena Sofer) return also caused some trouble, so here’s how Tuesday’s episode played out.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) announced a surprise since Lois was back following her trip to Bensonhurst.
After Olivia picked up on the awkwardness between Lois and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), she encouraged Lois to open up to her in private.
Lois obviously didn’t spill anything about the baby adoption, but Olivia offered to be there when she was ready.
Over with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), he urged Brook Lynn to find a way to forgive Lois and get past the hurt if she wanted to keep her secret under wraps.
At the stables, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) admitted to Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) that she didn’t know for sure Brook Lynn and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) had a past romance until she tricked him into confirming it.
Dante suddenly appeared and confronted Lulu, who was upset over him keeping his past with Brook Lynn hidden.
However, Dante basically thought Lulu was making a mountain out of a molehill since it was just a brief teenage fling.
Once Brook Lynn came to Port Charles as an adult, Lulu questioned if Dante had feelings for her then.
Dante made it clear that Lulu had been the only woman he loved at the time and pushed for no more secrets between them.
After Dante left, an angry Cody popped back up and demanded to know what Lulu was trying to pull.
When Brook Lynn met up with Lois in the kitchen to talk, she got quiet and uncomfortable after realizing Dante was there.
At the law office, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was in a good mood since Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) apologized and made peace with Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), so she gave Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) updates.
Alexis also carried out her portion of the job interview with Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo).
Since it went well, Alexis suggested she’d confer with Diane and made a prediction about Marco receiving an official job offer soon.
At GH, Kristina showed up with flowers for Elizabeth and wanted to return the favor since Liz had been so supportive during her baby loss.
Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) dropped off some baked goods from Aiden Webber (Colin Cassidy) before stepping out with Kristina to confront her about her Liz visit.
Although Kristina was tempted to confess, she ultimately decided to commit to the cover-up.
Lucky confirmed that the police were treating this like an accident and that the car had already been crushed in the compactor, so Kristina hoped that was the end of it.
In Ric’s room, Ava wanted to resort to blackmail, but Ric felt it was a bad idea to threaten Sonny and potentially push Kristina into making another attempt on her life.
Ava insisted she was talking about using Kristina’s guilt as leverage with Alexis.
Now that Ava had the power to send Kristina to prison, she wanted Alexis to hand over Cassadine money to keep her daughter free.
Ric was willing to keep his mouth shut, but he wasn’t happy about Liz not getting justice and remained concerned about Kristina being a dangerous wildcard.
Once Liz was wheeled over to Ric’s room for a visit, he was relieved to see for himself that she was OK.
Ric also recapped the night of the accident and lied that he must’ve hit some black ice.
Back with Alexis, she was annoyed when Ava showed up in her office.
Ava felt that Alexis would change her tune soon and felt confident that Alexis would make time to discuss Kristina’s future.
