General Hospital Tuesday, September 23 Recap: Nathan Awakens, Tracy Disappears and Drew Goes After Monica’s Will

General Hospital (GH) recap for Tuesday, September 23, reveals that Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) awoke while Tracy Quartermaine’s (Jane Elliot) loved ones realized she’d disappeared, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) also went after Monica Quartermaine’s (Leslie Charleson) will since he refused to be cut out, so here’s how Tuesday’s episode went down.

At the Quartermaine mansion, Tracy was missing from the property and hadn’t slept in her bed.

An overnight bag was gone along with some jewelry, including Lila Quartermaine’s (Anna Lee) brooch.

Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) were all concerned.

Once Lulu thought of Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary), she had an idea about where Tracy was.

Ned ultimately called someone for a favor in hopes of bringing Tracy home in time for Monica’s funeral.

Meanwhile, Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) made a phone call to someone about Monica’s memorial service.

There’s a good chance Martin was summoning Erika Slezak’s character for the unexpected sister storyline she’s about to kick off.

In the room above Bobbie’s, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) worked on giving herself an injection from one of the drug vials she’d received.

When Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) arrived, he faced Britt’s typical complaints and snide comments.

Jason grabbed a suit from the closet and acknowledged that it was for Monica’s funeral.

Britt was sorry for keeping Jason busy with a rescue in Croatia during Monica’s final days, but he knew he was right where he needed to be.

In Drew’s hospital room, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) pushed him to turn things around and be a better man – if not for Monica, then for Scout Quartermaine (Cosette Abinante).

Now that Stella Henry’s (Vernee Watson) legal drama had been cleared up and she’d been reinstated at GH, she caught up with Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) before turning her attention to Martin.

Since Martin was there to see Drew, Stella figured out that Martin struck a deal with him to get her off the hook.

As a nurse made her way into Nathan’s room, fans could see that he remained unconscious and was still wearing a John Doe hospital bracelet.

Once Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) came to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) office wondering why she was summoned, Anna confessed this was about Nathan.

Anna offered updates on John Doe’s car crash, which led to the DNA results and fingerprints being a match for Nathan.

Nina was in disbelief as she insisted the tests had to be wrong.

Anna knew it was tough to buy, but she had seen Nathan for herself and couldn’t ignore the additional proof.

Nina suspected Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) might’ve been involved in all this, but Anna pointed out that his brain was seemingly in a jar.

Since Anna needed someone from Nathan’s family to make a positive ID, she convinced Nina to go see him.

Back at the hospital, Felicia dropped a bunch of papers once she saw unconscious Nathan in his bed.

Anna led Felicia off to explain things while Nina nervously approached Nathan.

Nina reeled as she recognized Nathan’s familiar face and ultimately got a hand squeeze from him before he opened his eyes.

Nina’s own eyes filled with tears as she reacted to “J” waking up and smiling at her.

Back with Anna, she gave Felicia all the latest Nathan news.

Felicia worried about James West (Gary James Fuller) and the impact this Nathan situation could have on him, so Anna was determined to discover the whole truth.

As for Drew, he complained to Martin about the Quartermaines turning Monica against him.

Although the family cut Drew out of Monica’s life, he refused to let them do the same when it came to her will.

Next, Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) returned from his tour and got a warm welcome home from Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).

Marshall was concerned about Curtis potentially being blamed for shooting Drew, so he wanted to protect his son.

Curtis pretended he was on solid ground with Portia during this discussion and even clutched her hand at one point.

After Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) showed up, he wanted Curtis to go over his whereabouts the night of Drew’s shooting again.

Curtis recapped everything, including the part about meeting up with Jordan.

That set Portia off, so she told Curtis it was time to go after Dante made his own exit.

Curtis wound up clashing with Portia outside while Marshall tried to distract Trina indoors.

Although Curtis complained since he’d been trying to protect Portia from the cops, she ranted about him always running to Jordan and wanted to stop pretending they still had a marriage.

Portia eventually stomped off, so there was no doubt where she stood!

General Hospital spoilers say Portia will make some other bold moves soon, so stay tuned.
