General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) recently talked about her upcoming GH return and the possibility of an aneurysm procedure. Storms shared some Maxie news with fans on Instagram, so let’s discuss her health and soapy comeback.
For starters, Kirsten Storms offered up a holiday greeting and spilled about how things are going for her now that she lives in Tennessee.
The colder weather has been an adjustment following Storms’ move from California, but she admitted she’s “kinda LOVING it” and that she couldn’t stop smiling at the first sign of some snow flurries.
From there, Kirsten Storms decided to dive into a more difficult topic.
It isn’t something that’s easy for Storms to open up about, but she was willing to provide some updates on her medical situation.
“My last appointment was with a new Neurosurgeon in St Louis. He told me that I am in the ‘gray zone’ for the aneurysm procedure. It’s not super small, but it’s not at the mandatory surgery size. Basically, I can keep monitoring it – or have the coiling done, BUT he told me I wasn’t in immediate/’OMG! it’s going to burst tomorrow!’ kind of danger,” Storms said.
Although that’s good to know, Storms confessed that she’s trying to see if she’s “comfortable with the ‘wait and see if it gets worse’ plan” and that she’s “not eager to hop right on the operating table.”
Storms mentioned the craniotomy she had back in 2021 along with the surgery she had in January of this year.
It’s easy to see why Storms is a bit wary of having another procedure done, but she was kind enough to keep concerned fans in the loop.
“So, as I sit in this ‘gray zone’, pondering my plan, I want you guys to know that I really do appreciate the messages and stories offered of your own experiences. I needed those….and I had no idea (weird how that works, right?),” Storms said.
Although Storms likes to lighten up her posts with humor, she hinted about the difficulties of “getting deep about online rumors” and how she feels about them.
However, Storms was willing to share her latest medical info and crack some jokes along the way.
As for Storms’ upcoming return to GH, she dropped a huge clue about it happening as planned.
“HAPPY HOLIDAYS…and maaaaybe you will be seeing me back in Port Charles soon,” Storms said as she wrapped up her post.
Maxie is stuck in a coma for now, but she’ll inevitably wake up at some point and get a huge shock thanks to Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) return from the grave.
