In tonight’s Grey’s Anatomy episode, Jo and Link were planning their wedding. Link has never been married before. He wanted a big wedding. He wanted to celebrate before the world and unfortunately planning the wedding was hard in itself. Jo has some history with it. She’s been married twice before.

She knows the downside to a lot of the venues and both were getting frustrated with the process. Do you know who has to deal with that? It wasn’t the other or their family. It was more often than not the interns. They got stuck with the doctors and it wasn’t the first time.

The interns were luckily getting better at reading the signals. Jules knew when Winston was annoyed. He was her mentor. If she had questions, she knows now to shut up when Winston gives her a look. They were close. Richard thought they were too close. He gave Winston a look of his own when he saw him interact with the intern.

Richard didn’t say anything. He didn’t have to say anything. He let Winston believe that they were inappropriate. It was now up to the doctor to reset boundaries.

That is if he wants to.

He might want to stop requesting Jules constantly for his services. She was with him like every week now. He saw her more than he did Monica and he was sleeping with Monica. They also caught a difficult case tonight. This young man came in with a wound to his chest. His lung was exposed. He needed urgent care.

His father showing up and making a scene wasn’t helping. The doctors actually felt bad for the dad. They escorted him out. They had to only they went outside to check on him. They gave him the bag of his son’s things. And the first thing the dad did was steal the kid’s money.

The man took money directly out of his son’s wallet. Who knew what his motives were for showing up at the hospital? Jules wanted to say something. Winston stopped her form confronting the man.

He knew that it wouldn’t end well once she started throwing around accusations. Richard also pointed out that maybe the dad was safeguarding the money. Jules didn’t think that was case because the wallet was handed over and he took money out of the wallet itself. Jules has experience with this. Her parents were free loving hippies. She had to be the adult.

Jules practically raised herself. She started paying the bills young. She was in charge of everything and the family falls apart without her. Jules wanted to get Spencer’s money back because he might need to pay for rent. She was still fuming as Spencer was wheeled into surgery. She almost got kicked out of surgery.

Her dad took her to the first drug buy at ten. He got high and she had to drive him back home. She told the others about it to explain why she has a great radar for crappy dads. She thought Winston must have had a great dad because he seemed stable. And he almost kicked her out of the OR for that assumption.

There was another intern that was upset as well. Lucas found out from Blue that Simone intended to ask him to move back in. She said it because she was angry with Blue at the time for inviting strangers over. The truth is she wasn’t sure if she was ready to live with her boyfriend. They’ve known each other a year.

Half of which she spent planning a wedding to someone else. Simone left her fiancé because she was in love with Lucas and then a lot of stuff happened. They took a break. They were back together now.

Lucas thought they were even in a good place. He mentioned the extra room. He asked her what she was doing about it and she never once brought up him moving in. It made him realize that she had doubts about their relationship. They finally had the confrontation in the elevator. Lucas asked her why she didn’t want him to move in.

She explained that she wanted to take things slow. Lucas felt rejected and he doesn’t do well with that feeling. He was the screw up of his generation. It’s why he gets on well with Amelia. She was the screw up of hers.

Lucas was fine working with his aunt. Simone couldn’t question Amelia. She did that once and Amelia was still holding a grudge. They were working with Monica on a young girl. The patient’s name is Dylan.

Dylan had a growth in her brain. It wasn’t cancerous. It was also in a risky position. She could have lost mobility or die if the surgery went wrong. Amelia took the risk anyway because Dylan was an Expedition Scout. She loves going on hikes, climbing trees, and exploring. Amelia was worried about hurting her and it was Monica who got her to calm down.

Derek used to be that person for Amelia.

The interns were thankfully saved from Jo and Link. They had a patient. Her name is Marianna. She was known for getting engaged to Edgar. The two of them were in the NICU together. They were born on the same day and their moms became best friends. Everyone thought they were the perfect couple. It was considered a hospital love story.

Jo loved it when Marianna became a patient. She unfortunately had endometritis for ten years before she was diagnosed and so her womb was distorted in shape. She needed surgery. She needed Link to shave down some bone.

The surgery would require some additional healing. Her wedding was in the next few days, but Link and Helm both spotted her hesitation when Edgar suggested they get married before surgery. Marianna convinced him that the big wedding was too important to their moms. Jo ignored that at first and then she spoke with Marianna after surgery.

Marianna said Edgar was her best friend. He’s always been there for her and a part of her life. She didn’t know if she loved him enough to get married or if she was doing what everyone expected of her. And Jo told her not to get married for the wrong reasons.

Jo has been there. She told Marianna that it never ends well. Marianna had to cancel her wedding and that meant there was a venue free. This included most of the trappings. Jo took Marianna’s cancellation for herself. She talked Link into it. Now they were getting married in four days.

Simone also talked to Lucas about her mindset. She admitted that she didn’t want to jump into anything in case her life blows up again. Lucas pointed out that he wasn’t Trey. He loves her. He wants a future with her. She just needs to figure out her schedule because Lucas might not wait forever.

Lucas stayed on the overnight shift. He didn’t want to grab something eat with Simone and Blue. Blue got in trouble. For a minute. He was supposed to show the ropes a possible new intern interviewing at the hospital. She was great on paper and then she went off half-cocked. She saw a patient in distress in an area she wasn’t supposed to be in.

She was about to cut a chest tube in the wrong place and Blue stopped her. He helped the patient. He then yelled at the girl to the point she ran off crying.

Bailey was even angry with him until she learned what the woman almost did. Then she thanked Blue for helping them dodge a bullet. They couldn’t have an unreliable intern. Much less one that was about to cut into a patient’s liver and not his chest. Blue saw the young woman at the bar next door. She was hot.

She was drinking and he was interested. Simone told him that he was the reason she was drinking and to just leave her alone. Jules later spotted Winston fighting with Spencer’s dad.

The man spent Spencer’s rent money on booze. Winston went off on the guy. It got physical. Jules had to break it up. Jules tried to talk to him about it and he admitted that he had a crappy dad too.

He also mentioned that he wasn’t her BFF. They couldn’t bond or gossip about patients or their families. They have to leave their baggage at home. Winston finally put up boundaries and he also moved Jules to a different service for her next shift.

Lucas was still at the hospital when Dylan took a turn for the worst. She began crashing and her parents were already blaming themselves and Amelia.

THE END!
