Director Vance offered Knight a great opportunity to train with NCIS Elite. She wouldn’t be leaving NCIS. Not again after what happened last time. She just would train with them. It was a great opportunity, but Torres revealed it was offered to him first and he turned it down because of a prior commitment. It made Knight feel like she only got the job because he wasn’t available. It took away from her pride with getting such a chance. She also felt that Torres should have kept that part to himself if he didn’t want her to feel a certain way about it.

Luckily, they caught a case. Petty Officer Third Class Steven Keogh’s body was found in the alley. He was covered in blood. There was also blood coming out of his nose as well as his ears. Some of which was brain matter. Agent Sawyer was nearby working on a separate case. He was hoping to connect his case with whatever happened to Steven only the brain matter was his ick. He decided to just leave this to the A-Team. He was happy working the nightshift if he didn’t have nose-brain on the mind.

Steven’s wife was out of town. She was staying with her mother who needed her. The wife said they were arguing about money problems. The Navy’s pay check doesn’t quite stretch as far as it used to. What the wife didn’t know was why he didn’t stretch. The team checked Steven’s bank statements. He has a more going out than coming in. He has a girlfriend on the side. He’s been paying her a lot of money. There were also plenty of photos of them together on his phone. The photos have her undressed and somehow never showing her face. The same couldn’t be said of Steven.

Steven went to a bar the night he was killed. He wasn’t drunk. He simply had a few beers as they could tell from his blood alcohol level. NCIS went to the bar. There were a lot of young military in there. They were often looking for a means of forgetting whether it was with beers or with women. The owner of “the Hairy Dave” doesn’t remember them because it works out better for him that way. Dave also mentioned this was the second NCIS Agents he spoke to. He had a card about a blackmail case. It turns out it was Agent Sawyer who contacted him.

Sawyer jinxed himself. His blackmail case was connected to the murder. He has three naval men that have all been blackmailed over explicit photos with a woman that wasn’t any of their wives. She didn’t want much. She wanted five hundred dollars a month. Paid to an Autopay account. They’ve tried to trace it. It leads to firewalls and viruses. It was considered a dead end. Sawyer was able to get one of the victims to come down there at night to answer some questions and Knight picked up something.

Knight realized that Petty Officer Matthis lied in his original statement. He claimed the first time that they got into the woman’s car. He slipped up late at night and revealed they got into his van. He didn’t say so before because he borrowed the van from his Nana. He didn’t want his Nana to know what they did in it. He also borrowed that van again to drive it to NCIS and so they were able to check it for fingerprints. It led back to Olga Bergamot. She used to write bad checks. Hence she was in the system.

Olga was now a psychic. She owns her own shop. The agents went to go question her when they overheard a man begging to make it stop. The man’s name was Arben Bardhi. He died of the same thing that killed Steven. Olga was working for Arben. She was the women Arben and his friends were using to blackmail sailors. Things were different with Steven, though. They didn’t just want money from him. They wanted him to steal a weapon from work for them. They planned on selling it. Olga was giving them all the information she had until she was struck down by the same mysterious ailment.

It killed her like it did with the others. Arben had gone to Olga because he said the devil was hurting him. He wanted an exorcism done. When the night crew put that in their report, Parker and McGee suddenly showed up wanting a part of the action. They knew that Olga said a deal was going to be done at a warehouse. It sold electronics in Fairfax. They used that to determine where this deal was taking place and they went there. Torres decided not to go because he wasn’t feeling well. He just didn’t tell anyone he wasn’t feeling well. He’s been feeling off ever since Olga died in front of him.

Torres later followed Knight and Sawyer to attack them. They had to choke him out to stop him. Torres was stopped and saved. He was affected by sound frequency that played on his fears. He was standing close to Olga when she fell. She probably felt the same thing. She was attacked by a sound weapon. Sorta like what they used on American diplomats in Cuba. Torres getting in the way stopped the others from stopping the deal. They spooked the guy. He drove off. It turns out it was Dave from “the Hairy Dave”.

Steven did steal something from work. It was called the LRAD. It was so small that no one noticed it was missing. Steven stole it then Dave used it to kill him. He then killed his partner to keep the money to himself. He killed Olga for knowing too much. He even got Torres with it. Torres was unintentional and that’s the only reason he wasn’t killed by sound. Torres has been feeling jealous of how close Knight had gotten with Sawyer. It came out in his subconscious. He didn’t see how much Sawyer has been working on himself since being stuck on night shift.

It got so bad that he befriended the cleaning lady as well as the ghost that haunted the building. The ghost’s name is Henry. Henry came through for Torres and Knight. He stopped the elevator at the right time to force them to talk. Torres congratulated Knight on NCIS Elite. He also apologized for not saying how much of a great friend she was. She felt the same. They were friends. They didn’t want to be anything more…for now.

All that matters was that they stopped Dave before he sold the weapon to the Russians.
