On tonights episode of Sheriff Country, Boone’s marriage wasn’t a marriage. They got married as friends. They were never in love. They might start developing feelings now that Nora was hanging out in Edgewater. She lives in Oakland. He lived in Edgewater. The marriage really was just friendship until they began spending more time together.

Nora came up initially to help Boone move back to Oakland and now that wasn’t happening. He decided to stay. Only the door could be open on her deciding to stay with him if he plays it right.

The question was does he want to? They have history. She was once married to his best friend. The friend died, but that doesn’t mean they can never pursue anything. It simply meant they needed time to heal.

They got that and now it’s time to accept that their loved one is gone. Both of them being miserable wasn’t going to bring him back. Boone needed a personal life. He hides in his work. Boone was back on the job tonight. He and Cassidy caught a divorcing couple. The husband tried stealing back the car that the judge rewarded his ex-wife.

It was a lot of yelling. There was a threat of arrest. It ultimately ended when the husband gave back the keys (both sets) to his now ex-wife. They had honeymooned in that car and things were currently acrimonious to say the least.

His ex said its what he deserved after he cheated on her. Mickey was off working an assault case. There was a teenage girl found behind the bleachers badly beaten up. She refused to say who did it. The same for everyone else at school until a video popped up online of the assault.

Seventeen year old Allison Duffy was badly beaten by her best friend, Darcey. What Mickey couldn’t get was why Allison was covering it up. She found out about the video and it was enough to convict Darcey for battery.

The video mentioned a “he”. They fought over a boy. Darcey dated the guy first. He’s since moved onto Allison. The reason neither of them are naming this boy was because he wasn’t a boy. This guy bought Allison a necklace. He bought Darcey a bracelet. They were both engraved with a poem of Shelley’s. How many kids know Shelley’s work?

How many can afford either pieces of jewelry that costs more six hundred dollars. High School kids couldn’t afford that. Not in Edgewater. Mickey also remembered that Darcey said she has to see him everyday and she didn’t want to get him in trouble. She could avoid a boy. She couldn’t avoid a teacher. Mickey feared that a teacher was preying on these girls. The worst part was that Darcey’s father thought it could be Mr. Diamond. He was Mickey’s favorite teacher back in school. She idolized him because he made sure she graduated after getting knocked up.

Travis wasn’t much help back then. He freaked out when he found out he was going to be a father. He was from a rich family and he knocked up a girl from the wrong side of the tracks in high school.

His parents demanded she’d terminate the pregnancy. When they went ahead with having Skye, his parents refused to talk to him for years. He was cut off and they worked things through. It helped that Travis had a new family with Mickey and Skye. Until Skye went to college. The two got divorced and they put aside their differences when Skye needed help.

They were friends. They just couldn’t help bickering. It doesn’t help that she was Sheriff and Travis was a defense lawyer. The school hired him to ensure their interests. They didn’t want a predator there either. They also didn’t want the whole school going down because of one guy. Darcey’s father thought it was Mr. Diamond.

He was wrong. Mickey knew he was wrong and she felt bad about questioning him because he really was one of the good teachers that went the extra mile. He didn’t do this.

The person that did was the guidance counselor or as the girls liked to call him, Gary. Gary wasn’t that much older than them. He was young, handsome, and could afford to splurge on them.

Gary was also a predator. He targeted both girls who came from single parent households. The ones who needed the extra attention. Who also couldn’t afford a college application. These girls have bright futures and they were about to throw it all way over a predator. Mickey convinced them to let her test his supposed loyalty to them. And she was right that he didn’t actually about those girls.

They saw that. They pressed charges. The guidance counselor was facing time in jail. He might face more time if others come forward with a claim. One never knows how quickly he began his schtick at that high school.

Boone and Cass meanwhile got called back to the divorcing couple. This time the husband was threatening to set the car on fire. The deputies tried to stop him. It was the wife’s words that set him off and so he set fire to the car. He ended up catching fire himself. The guy later died from the burns he suffered. It had just been Cass at his bedside.

His ex-wife told Boone that there was no such thing as complicated. You either love someone or you don’t. It made Boone realize that he loves Nora. He finally pursued things tonight.

Mickey and Travis also forgave each other for a lot of things that happened in their pasts. Mickey even apologized to her favorite teacher. Which was fine because he told her that Travis went to prom without her.

And Skye was helping her grandpa go legit by filling out the forms for his weed growing business.
