The teams headed to Dubai tonight. First, they had to book their tickets. It sucks when they have to book their trip with a travel agency because finding the agency was a task in itself. There was also what happened at the U-turn. It created drama and it might have broken a budding friendship. Jonathn and Ana liked Carson and Jack. Everyone liked them. It’s why no one voted against them. It also explains why it hurt when they voted against Jonathan and Ana. The two teams have worked together before. They’ve shared intel. They never saw the betrayal coming and all of them were at the airport together.
The teams all ran into each other at the airport. They waited for their flight together. Jack and Carson tried to apologize to Ana and Jonathan. The couple said it was going to be a while before the betrayal stops hurting. It helps that they didn’t sit near each other on the plane. They got to Dubai, but they barely got time to enjoy it at first. They had to head to the Arabian desert straight away. The person that got to the next destination first got to choose which time they woke up for the excursion.
Some aimed for the earliest time possible while others were happy with staying in the middle. The middle is safe. They just have to hold onto until the end and that’s when they would aim for first. The teams all got to enjoy a night out in the desert. They woke up next morning to find out that they were going to be skydiving into Dubai again. That time, they at least got to see the city in all of its beauty. Josiah didn’t get to enjoy it much because he was worried about his wife. He was even teary-eyed because he was panicking that something might happen to her.
Alyssa didn’t know that her husband was panicking. She actually really enjoyed skydiving. She was having a blast and then she saw her husband. His tears moved many. He really loves her. It reminded others of their own marriage. Jeff has been with his wife since he was seventeen. When he saw Josiah’s sheer joy when Alyssa landed safely, he knew exactly how he felt. It made him miss his wife. It also made Alyssa appreciate her caring husband. The teams couldn’t wait around to see how the others did because the moment both members were on the ground – it was off to the next stop.
They had to go to the Atlantis hotel. It was quite beautiful. It was situated on a peninsula. It was surrounded by beaches and pools and the most luxurious accommodations. What they ended up doing there was working in the kitchens. They had to create a cake and sandwich plate that would get approved by an actual chef. Alyssa and Josiah were the first to the hotel only the other teams quickly caught up. It was a very hard task to impress a Michelin star Chef. The one team that wasn’t there was Jack and Carson. They chose the Fast-Forward.
They went scuba diving into the deepest diving pool in the world. They got to see an underwater city. They were off enjoying themselves and everyone else was struggling to impress the chef. It took them a while, but he eventually came to approve of some. Alyssa and Josiah was once again in the lead. They were making their way to the next stop even as Jeff and Pops struggled with the food challenge. It took a couple of tries and they eventually got it. They were in seventh place. Neither of them were happy about it and so they tried to catch up.
The next task was to ride a wave. One of member of the team had to go surfing. Josiah chose to do it. He and Alyssa never took lessons before. They just bought two surf boards and taught themselves how to surf. It helped Josiah. The surfing was a little different in Dubai. Only he was doing the best out of the group. Jack and Carson in the meantime skipped to the end. They were first place tonight. They also won a trip for two on Alaskan cruise. It was a balcony room with spa treatments and finding dining.
Han and Holden were the first to get the surfing done right. They were onto the next stop and Josiah blamed himself for them losing out on the lead. It made him get in his own head. It happened to the point he was getting worse out there and not better, but he didn’t want to disappoint Alyssa. He eventually got it together. He survived the challenge and they were off to the mall. Jeff and Pops faced issues with the surfing as well. Jeffs wasn’t really a swimming guy. He’d always stayed behind to play basketball when his dad took the other kids swimming. And so Pops was a better fit for this challenge.
Only Jeff felt he was letting his Pops do too much. He wanted to bring something to the table. He thought he could get surfing and he did within a few tries. They were in last place. They just had to race to the Mall of Emirates. They had to take the train there. Jeff and Pops missed out on the earlier train. They had to wait for the next one and by time that one arrived it was a race with the brothers, Nick and Mike.
They were both on the same train. One of them was bound to come in last. It was literally a race to the finish line. They ran out of that train station and the brothers were faster runners than Pops and Jeff. Pops and Jeff were eliminated tonight, but they loved every moment of the journey.
