The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) recap for Friday, August 1, reveals that John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) interrogated a nervous Grace Buckingham (Cassandra Creech) while Eric Forrester (John McCook) had a good reason to fear Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Nick Marone’s (Jack Wagner) engagement was imminent.
At the hotel in Italy, Eric gave Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) another push to choose Brooke over Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig).
Eric played Brooke up as Ridge’s true love and felt his son had overreacted to her taking the CEO position, which was about protecting the company.
Ridge eventually stopped by Brooke’s suite to talk to her, but she couldn’t hear him knocking and calling out since she had headphones on.
When Eric went for a stroll, he saw Nick near the water holding an engagement ring for Brooke.
That was enough to make Eric’s eyes bug out and leave him looking panicked.
Eric rushed to Brooke’s room and warned her not to let Nick take advantage of her vulnerability, but she left to meet Nick anyway.
Once Brooke and Nick connected via text about the location, she waited for him and recalled better days in Italy with Ridge.
After Brooke snapped back to the present, she was surprised to see Ridge had found her.
Next on Friday’s B&B episode, Katie Logan (Heather Tom) dropped by the Forrester mansion looking for Donna Logan Forrester (Jennifer Gareis) and found Taylor instead.
Although Taylor predicted that Brooke could come home engaged to Nick, Katie clearly felt that was wishful thinking.
At the hospital, Bridget Forrester (Ashley Jones) came to Finn’s office, where he confirmed he still hadn’t been able to get in touch with Grace about Liam Spencer’s (Scott Clifton) strange surgery news.
However, Finn was determined to speak with Grace today and got his chance when he spotted her walking by.
After Finn called out to Grace, she reluctantly entered and suggested she’d been super busy.
Although Finn and Bridget had questions about Liam’s miraculous procedure, Grace kept things vague and acted like she didn’t have time to offer updates. Grace ultimately pushed Finn to trust her and left in a hurry.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Grace won’t get away with all her lies for much longer, so stay tuned.
