The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) recap for Wednesday, May 14, reveals that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) made a bittersweet promise to Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) while Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) stood by her choice to spill Liam’s fatal prognosis.
At Brooke Logan’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) house, Liam wondered how Hope found out about his medical condition before realizing it must’ve been Steffy.
Although Liam was irritated with Steffy at first, Hope pushed him not to be angry since she was glad she knew the truth.
Hope wanted to do research and try to find some sort of treatment for Liam, but he assured her that he already had the best neuro team.
Despite a weepy Hope’s insistence that they were just letting Liam die, he understood the situation was beyond everyone’s control.
The silver lining for Liam was that he now realized how fortunate he’d been in his life – at least up until this unlucky diagnosis.
Liam wasn’t happy about not getting to stick around and experience all that life had to offer, but he couldn’t justify being angry when he was running out of time.
As Liam cried over the whole situation, Hope cried as well and vowed to cherish every moment with him.
Liam was sorry for not telling Hope about his brain tumor, but he didn’t want to be a burden.
Hope assured Liam that he wasn’t one and gave him a nudge to open up to his other loved ones, too.
After Hope once again admitted she felt like she took Liam’s love for granted, she said she thought he’d always be there.
Liam promised he’d always be with Hope one way or another – even if he was in heaven looking down on her or just there in Hope’s heart.
At the cliff house, Steffy gave John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) updates on how shocked and devastated Hope was over the news that Liam was dying.
After Steffy said she was the only other person who understood what Hope was going through, Finn suggested Steffy and Hope would have to be there for each other.
Next on Wednesday’s B&B episode, Steffy realized Liam had left the guest house, so she assumed he could be with Hope.
Although Steffy realized Liam might know by now that Hope was in the loop, she didn’t regret coming clean.
At Forrester Creations, Brooke found a distracted Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) in the design office, where he talked about his conscience potentially costing him the woman he loved.
Carter recalled how he didn’t stand up for Hope when she got kicked out of the company, but Brooke defended Carter and still believed Hope loved him.
After Carter admitted he wasn’t giving up on Hope, he expressed his continued belief that he had a future with her.
