Robyn took her daughter dress shopping. Prom was coming up. Delilah wanted to find the perfect outfit and Robyn went with her for her own peace of mind. She was worried Dee might pick something inappropriate if she wasn’t there. What she didn’t count on was that a child would get abducted from the same mall.
The missing boy’s name is Dylan. Dylan was riding his tricycle around the mall. It has a bell. Dylan was ringing it so much that his mom told him not to bother the other people. She took her eyes off him for a minute and he disappeared. There was no signs of him or his tricycle.
Robyn couldn’t leave another mother in distress. She agreed to help. She spoke with mall security. They locked down the mall and unfortunately that wasn’t enough. The security cameras have blind spots. Some of the cameras get short-circuit. It was really easy to grab a child from that place and disappear.
Robyn later found a hallway that wasn’t covered on the cameras. It led to a fire exit. Their kidnapper knew about it because he hid a fresh pair of clothes for Dylan. And he left Dylan’s old clothes in a nearby trash.
Dylan didn’t get lost. He wasn’t playing hide and seek. He was grabbed. He was abducted by someone that knew that mall very well. His mother Francine broke down when she found her son’s clothes. She blamed herself for him getting grabbed. She told Robyn that he didn’t even want to go to the mall.
He wanted to stay home and she brought him out anyways because she needed to pick up a few things. She regrets that now. She blamed herself for what happened. Robyn did her best to calm her down. She told her that beating herself will do no good.
Robyn lost sight of Delilah for thirty minutes when they were at the beach. She got lucky when they found her daughter unharmed and so she tried to instill that same confidence into Francine. Francine didn’t know it, but she was talking to a vigilante. Robyn called her friends.
They checked every suspicious adult at the mall that day. They got one guy that came to the mall solely to watch small children play at the indoor playground. This same man showed up several days in a row and he never bought anything or shopped anywhere. He just took video of the kids there.
Robyn’s friends tracked this man down to an outdoor playground. He was still taking videos of the kids playing. Or at least that’s what they thought he was doing. Carl wasn’t taking videos of kids. He was taking videos of the adults watching the kids. He was an abuse survivor.
He didn’t want that happening to another child. He now hunts down pedophiles. He stepped in the other day to save a girl that a man was dragging into his van and he almost got killed for it because the pedo had a gun. The cops warned Carl after that to leave arrests to them.
Carl was ignoring their orders. He said cops don’t show up fast enough. He steps in because he didn’t care about what happened to him. He only cares about keeping children safe. Carl even helped Robyn by giving her the videos he took of the mall that day. It turns out they weren’t just looking for one kidnapper.
They were looking for two. There was a woman that saw a child that looked like Dylan get put into a silver car by a couple. The witness thought he was throwing a tantrum. She didn’t realize he was crying because he was scared.
Thanks to the witness, Robyn knows that a couple grabbed Dylan. She also knew their car. She had Harry look for it and the car was traced back to Sam Buntly and his wife, Lola. They were drug addicts. They have a long line of drug arrests. They’ve never been involved in abduction or trafficking before.
Robyn and Mel later found the couple. They didn’t have Dylan with them. They sadly sold the boy for three thousand dollars. They owed some people money and someone they met online offered them cash for a child. And the couple didn’t hesitate to sell someone’s child.
The couple were arrested. Their cell phones were given to Harry. He couldn’t track the buyer. The couple didn’t know the buyer’s name nor were they great with descriptions. Harry still took all he could get from them to determine most likely suspects. They knew their pedo wears a blue cap.
They used Carl’s videos to find someone in a blue cap that likes watching children. They found two suspects. They went to the home of one where they heard a child and saw smoke. Their suspect was trying to destroy all evidence. He even included himself.
The guy took an overdose of pills. Robyn made him puke it out. He will live long enough to face trial for abduction and human trafficking. Danny was found in time. He was quickly returned to his mother. Francine was never going to take her eyes off him again and she was super grateful for Robyn.
Robyn later told Dante that she had to save that boy. She couldn’t live with herself if she hadn’t.
Robyn soon went home to her daughter. She hugged Dee with everything she had. They were talking about how long of day that was when Aunt Vi came in with some good news. Aunt Vi and Captain Curtis were back on the same page. They were going to continue their friendship.
