The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Monday, January 6, reveals that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will return to the cottage.
This is when Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will lash out at Mariah over Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) disappearance.
After Faith apologizes for her outburst, Mariah will quiz Tessa about her sudden illness and push for all the details of Ian’s visit to Society.
Mariah will know Ian must’ve had an agenda, so she’ll wonder if he saved Tessa’s life for her and if he hoped to sell his changed man act.
Whatever the case, Mariah will worry and admit if Ian did have something to do with Sharon going missing, then she’s in real trouble.
Meanwhile, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will send a security guy out to search for Ian.
Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will vent to Victor about everything that went down tonight and assume that Ian must’ve had a hand in Sharon’s ordeal.
In their motel room, Jordan (Colleen Zenk) will remain impatient about her part of their crisscross partnership.
Ian will promise they’re going to win back Mariah and Claire Newman’s (Hayley Erin) affection – and if they don’t, then the girls will be punished.
After Ian pushes Jordan to send Sharon to a watery grave and make sure it’s the same river Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) body was dumped in, he’ll insist that’ll be the key to blaming Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
However, Jordan will take Sharon to what appears to be the sewer system instead.
Sharon will still be unconscious as Jordan suggests she should be grateful she’s not at the bottom of the river – at least not yet.
Once Jordan chains Sharon up, she’ll insist that Sharon is going to be her insurance policy. Jordan will want to make sure Ian delivers on his promises and gives her what she wants.
After Victor’s security guy tracks Ian down in his motel room, he’ll drag Ian back to the ranch for a faceoff with Victor.
Ian will keep claiming he’s back to make amends, but Victor won’t buy this pious act at all.
Nick will demand to know where Sharon is, but Ian will play dumb. After Victor threatens to make Ian disappear if he doesn’t leave town permanently, Ian won’t think Victor’s going to do that.
Victor will get agitated, but Ian will point out that the cops know he’s back and that Nick was making threats earlier.
Plus, Ian sent the police a letter that pointed the finger at the Newmans if anything happened to him.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will come downstairs at one point and become horrified at the sight of Ian.
Once Nick steers Nikki away from the drama, he’ll offer updates on Ian’s legitimate release.
After Victor lets Ian go, he’ll tell his security man to follow him and keep eyes on him at all times. Ian will make it back to the motel room and reconvene with Jordan there soon after.
After Ian delivers the news about his trip to the Newman ranch, he’ll admit it went how he expected it would go.
Ian will also ask if Jordan took care of Sharon, so Jordan will cleverly insist Sharon is right where she’s supposed to be!
Back with Sharon, she’ll awaken handcuffed in captivity and weakly start calling for help.
At the jazz lounge, Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) will open up to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) about Victor’s job offer and admit he’s leaning toward not taking it.
Although running a publishing division would be a dream come true in some ways, Cole won’t be sure about the toxic corporate environment.
More importantly, Cole will worry about working for Victor and the possibility that the wonderful life he’s built with Victoria and Claire will be derailed.
Victoria will assure Cole that their relationship is strong, so she won’t want him making a decision based on that.
Cole will appreciate the reassurance on Monday’s Y&R episode, but he still won’t know for certain what his answer’s going to be.
