The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Thursday, December 18, reveals that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will have a blank check offer for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) while Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has a backstabber Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) blowup.
At Crimson Lights, Jack will record a statement to spread across media outlets that pushes the Jabot restructuring narrative.
When Adam and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) pop up, Jack will rip into them for doing Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) dirty work.
Chelsea will argue that they had an obligation to report the news, but Jack won’t see it that way.
Jack will remind Adam that he thought they were friends, but Adam will try to act like this wasn’t personal.
However, Jack will think it’s always personal with Victor and will blast Adam for stabbing him in the back.
After Jack says he’ll never forgive Adam for this, he’ll push Adam to print a retraction or apology.
Adam obviously won’t be willing to do that, so Jack will vow to burn Jabot to the ground himself before he’ll let Victor do it.
Chelsea and Adam will feel guilty after this Jack showdown wraps up, but Adam will suggest following Victor’s orders is necessary.
That’ll leave Chelsea wondering if they want to lose their souls and go back to being ashamed of what they do for a living.
Chelsea won’t want to set a bad example for Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) and will make a strong case for why they should quit.
At the Abbott mansion, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will leave a voicemail for Summer Newman (last played by Allison Lanier) before talking to Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) about the strategies that Jack’s been working on.
Diane won’t think they should have much faith in this Phyllis plan working out since she only looks out for number one.
Next on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Diane will get some info on her phone and hint about another way to bring Victor down.
At the GCAC, Phyllis will leave another message for Victor and make it clear she’s frustrated over being left in the dark.
Billy will pop up and assume Victor’s reneging on whatever deal they made, so he’ll pitch a new one that offers Phyllis “generational wealth.”
Phyllis will be willing to hear Billy out, so they’ll sit at a table as he admits they want her to steal the AI program back from Victor.
In exchange, Phyllis can name her price and go as high as she wants.
After Billy urges Phyllis not to blow this or take too long, he’ll take off. Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) will pop up looking suspicious about Billy and Phyllis’ conversation, but Phyllis will keep up her innocent act.
Nevertheless, Daniel will guess that Phyllis is behind the theft of Cane Ashby’s (Billy Flynn) AI program and that she gave it to Victor.
It’ll leave Daniel worried about what’s happening with Jabot and Phyllis being in over her head.
Phyllis won’t admit anything to Daniel, but she’ll assure him that she’s fine and that things are working out in her favor.
In fact, Phyllis will hint about a plan that’s going to bring their family together.
Back at the Abbott mansion, Billy will let Jack, Diane and Kyle know that Phyllis has agreed to think about their offer.
Jack won’t know if they have time for that, but Diane will discuss another way to bring Victor down that doesn’t involve Phyllis.
Since what Victor’s doing with the AI program is illegal, Diane has been preparing traps to catch him.
There won’t be proof yet, but Diane will know where they can find some.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Diane will hope to put Victor in prison if her plan works, so stay tuned for updates on any shockers ahead.
