The Young and the Restless Wednesday, March 5 Recap: Victor Asks If Jack Is High on Pills

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) recap for Wednesday, March 5, reveals that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will ask if Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is high on pills while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) realizes he needs an ASAP press release.

At the GCAC, Jack and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) will greet Victor and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) at their table.

After Victor asks to speak with Jack about something, he’ll question what delusion inspired him to support Billy’s attempt to compete with Newman Media.

Jack will realize Victor knows about Abbott Communications and will rush to Billy’s defense. After Jack suggests a pact, Victor will ask if he’s high on pills again!

Although Victor won’t see any reason why he’d make a pact with his enemy, Jack will suggest they should agree to leave Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) out of all their feuding.

However, Victor will basically make a prediction about every Newman-Abbott relationship ending in heartbreak, so he’ll refuse to stop rooting against Claire’s romance.

Once Jack and Diane get their own table on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, they’ll mull over who could’ve leaked the news about Billy’s latest venture.

Back with Nikki, she’ll push Victor to let Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) handle Billy and find his way to a truce with Jack before things get out of hand.

At Crimson Lights, Adam and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will get a text from Connor Newman (Judah Mackey), who’ll want to stay late at school to try out for baseball.

Chelsea will worry about the ritualistic things baseball players often do since they could fuel Connor’s OCD tendencies.

Adam will think it’s good that Connor wants to try something new, but he’ll understand Chelsea’s perspective and praise her for being a caring mom.

After Connor sends another text reassuring his parents, Chelsea and Adam will agree they should support him.

When Billy arrives, he’ll look uneasy at the sight of Adam and Chelsea holding hands.

Once Billy walks over and chats with Chelsea about Connor, he’ll step over to the counter to order something.

Adam will bring up Billy’s imminent launch and accuse him of plotting an attack on him as well as Newman Media.

Billy will insist he’s moving on and focusing on positivity, but Adam will take jabs about Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) before Chelsea ultimately shuts down the conflict.

After Adam steps away for a phone call, Billy will confirm to Chelsea that he’s truly moved past his desire for revenge.

Billy will also suggest it looks like Chelsea is doing more than just living with Adam now, but he’ll ultimately admit it’s none of his business.

That said, Billy will want Chelsea to be careful since Adam’s hurt her before.

Chelsea will appreciate Billy’s concern, but she’ll feel confident that she can take care of herself.

When Adam pops back up and sees that Billy is still there, he’ll push him to leave.

Afterward, Adam will rant to Chelsea about Billy and will eventually bring up Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) name.

That’ll leave Chelsea concerned since Adam told her that he was over Sally, so he’ll insist he meant it.

Now that Chelsea is defending Billy, Adam will wonder if she’s really over Billy.

Chelsea will assure Adam that she is, but she’ll acknowledge that she still cares about Billy – just like Adam still cares about Sally.

In the end, Adam and Chelsea will seem like they’re on the page about cautiously moving forward together and not letting the past get in the way.

At Billy’s place, he’ll leave Phyllis a voicemail urging her to get back in touch.

Since so many people are worried and Billy also needs Phyllis’ help, he’ll push her to call her loved ones and then call him.

Jack will stop by soon after and discuss the leaked Abbott Communications news with Billy.

When Billy wishes he could’ve caught Victor and Adam off guard, it’ll stir up worries for Jack about Billy’s vengeful side.

Billy will argue that it was just a slip, but he’ll know they need to put out a press release before Newman Media goes on the attack.

Next, Sally will help pick up the slack while Phyllis is MIA, so she’ll praise Billy’s first draft of the press release and suggest it’s ready to send out as is.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sally could get caught in Adam and Billy’s conflict sooner or later, so stay tuned for updates on all the drama.
