In tonight’s Tracker episode, there is a place called No Man’s Land within the United States. It wasn’t its actual name. It was more of a nickname. Colter Shaw was drawn there by a ten thousand dollar reward posted by Gracie Jennings. Her boyfriend Trey Landry went missing.

It hadn’t been that long and she couldn’t go to the cops. Trey has been flashing around a lot more money than usual. Gracie suspected it was dirty money. She told Colter she was worried something happened to Trey and the cops’ first concern would be what he was doing. And not if he was hurt.

Colter agreed to take on the case. The first thing he had Randy do was confirm Gracie’s theory. Yes, Trey was making huge deposits into his bank account. It was all in cash. There was no telling where it came from. Gracie was also lying to him.

Her real name isn’t Gracie Jennings at all. It’s Maggie Holt. She was Sheriff Holt’s wife and it’s most likely her husband was responsible for abducting her lover. That was the real reason she couldn’t turn to local cops. They all work for her husband. She thought they were loyal to her husband.

Maggie thought she was hiding the fact that she was sleeping with Trey when she wasn’t. The whole town knew about the affair. The motel manager of the same motel where the couple frequently used was known to tell anyone anything as long as they paid.

Colter learned all of this by looking around. He found a blood stain in Trey’s room. He also found flowers and what appears to be a gift. Trey might have gotten in over his head with this affair. He was just a vet who fell in love. The couple met when Maggie needed assistance with one of her horses and they bonded over their shared love of animals.

Trey thought he was meeting up with Maggie that night. So, what happened? Colter left the motel and he told Maggie to go hide from her husband. He didn’t want her sticking around in case the sheriff was too big of a threat. Colter then ran into two deputies not long after warning Maggie.

The deputies searched him for weapons. They had no probable cause or a warrant. They found him to be clean and that’s when they “suggested” he take a ride with them. They were planning on killing him. They drove him out into the desert for that very same reason.

They just never got the chance to follow through on their threats. Those deputies were dirty cops. Unfortunately for Sheriff Paul Holt, he had nothing to do with it. The deputies weren’t acting under his orders. He wasn’t this big and scary dude. He was merely fighting for his marriage.

He thought they had kept between them what she did with Trey. He was downright embarrassed when Colter learned of it and when Colter confronted him about it. Colter escaped those dirty cops. He traveled through the desert for miles. He found a horse. And he took it to the sheriff’s home.

He surprised Sheriff Holt. He had a gun trained on him as he finally got answers. The sheriff wasn’t behind any of this. He didn’t grab Trey nor was he was connected to the dirty dealings in town. The dirty cops work for Alonzo Diaz.

The sheriff has slowly been making a case against him for years now. Alonzo came into town and he swiftly became involving in running everything from guns to drugs to girls. He was the dangerous one. Trey was making some extra cash on the side because he too worked for Alonzo.

The sheriff and Colter suspected that it was Alonzo who grabbed up Trey. They were wrong. Its why it’s best to never make assumptions. Trey working for Alonzo meant Alonzo had no cause to kill him or kidnap him. The person who grabbed Trey from the motel was Jimmy Ferris.

He has no record. His mother was killed right in front of him when he was fourteen by Alonzo and his men. Those men were there to carry out a hit against a rival. They just didn’t care about casualties. This included Jimmy’s mom.

She died in his arms. He now wants revenge. He’s been hunting Alonzo for the past five years since his mom was killed. He could never get close to him by himself. He abducted Trey in order to get onto Alonzo’s compound out in the desert. Jimmy’s plan was to always kill Alonzo.

He didn’t care about what happened to himself. He merely wanted revenge. The sheriff found Trey and brought him to safety. Colter found Jimmy. He had just convinced Jimmy to turn away from revenge when one of Alonzo’s men came up behind them. Colter shot that guy. And Alonzo shot Jimmy.

Jimmy shot him in return. The Sheriff called in backup. They made several arrests. Alonzo was dead and Jimmy was facing jail time for his revenge scheme. Trey was also facing jail time as well for his part in Alonzo’s business, but the important bit was that the sheriff and his wife agreed to a divorce.

The love was gone and they both wanted out. Maggie was happier with Trey anyways. His assistance in the case could also mean a lighter sentence. He did save Jimmy’s life after all. And Colter got paid for a job well done.

Colter was soon back on the road and something was going on with Reenie that she didn’t seem to ready to talk about just yet.
