In tonight’s episode of 9-1-1: Nashville, Dixie’s diss track kicked off a war. It’s been brewing for a long time if everyone was honest. This thing between her and Blythe will never end because Dixie never forgave Blythe for taking Don back. Dixie thought by getting pregnant that Blythe would divorce him.
It would also force Don to stay with her, but instead Don chose to mend things with Blythe. They got back together. They appeared to be stronger than ever so Dixie hated Blythe for it. She made that diss track. She wanted to talk about all the men that Blythe was seeing while she was separated. She even caused a fight between Blythe and Don.
Blythe and Don got back together after their separation all those years ago. They were happy. They thought they told each other everything. That turned out not to be the full truth.
Blythe never told Don everything and everyone she was doing back then. She mentioned to him at the time that she told him everything that “mattered”. It’s just that a certain guy wasn’t deemed to have mattered. Don had to find out about him through Dixie’s upcoming song that she was already promoting. It left him feeling embarrassed so he lashed out at his wife.
Not physically. Never physically. Don wasn’t that kind of guy. He instead got into an argument with his wife that resulted in him sleeping at the firehouse. His pride was getting in the way.
Blue found him because he was about to move into his own place and he was staying at the firehouse in the meantime. He spotted his dad was sleeping there on his day off. He guessed what happened. He tried to apologize for his mom by helping. Only Don didn’t want to involve his son in this beef. The tough conversations amongst the adults has been a longtime coming.
They got a call to a concert venue. Noah Cyrus was stuck up on a fake horse in the air. Everyone on the ground had passed out because they accidentally created a toxic gas.
Blue worked as a roadie when his mom was on tour. He knew they were trying to clean up after the fog machine created a residue. He also knew how to get Noah down safely.
He unplugged the machine that brought her up. He really came through that day. His various work experience helped a lot with the job. It also convinced Don that he tried to make peace with both women.
Don tried calling his wife first. He owned up to his part in the fight. He shouldn’t have held the past against her and he admitted to it. He also wanted to own her part as well. She never told him about Patrick. Patrick being the guy she dated before him. Then dated him during the separation. Patrick being the one that never got over her.
Patrick was her Dixie and she couldn’t see it. Not until she spoke with Cammie. Cammie was helping Blythe figure out who was telling Dixie all of her business. Blythe thought that was more important than her fight with Don.
They married couple went back to not talking as Blythe went looking for the spy. There weren’t a lot of people that knew about her past. There was her Daddy, Cammie, her college best friend, and Patrick. Cammie thought it was Patrick for all the reasons listed above. Blythe went to meet Patrick.
She deliberately ignored a call from Don who happened to be out in the front. He witnessed her having drinks with Patrick. It made him so angry that he wanted to take Dixie up on her offer. He had met with Dixie after that failed phone conversation with his wife.
Don asked her not to release the next diss track. He wanted to know what he needed to do to stop it. Dixie repeated her offers with Blythe remained on the table.
She also told Don that she was willing to forgive all if he slept with her. Don’s face already gave away that he’s been having dreams about Dixie. She played on that because she wanted to hurt Blythe more than anything. Getting Don back would just be the icing on the cake. Don told her that he was taking up that offer once he got all jealous about Blythe meeting with Patrick.
There was nothing there. In fact, Patrick got upset when he learned he was a verse in the upcoming song. He said he was dating his now wife back then and that he didn’t want her leaving him over this. He offered to go 50/50 with the ransom demand. The same demand that Blythe refused to pay.
Don realized he couldn’t cheat on his wife the same time that Blythe decided to fight back. She made it over to Dixie’s new place. She said she bought out Dixie’s contract at her record label and that she’d personally stope Dixie from releasing new music.
Blythe figured out it was Charlie who betrayed her. She fired him. Dixie didn’t seem fazed because she said Don was coming over for a booty call. It was the one that pushed Blythe too far.
She attacked Dixie. They finally had the all out catfight that’s been in the works for years. Blythe didn’t know it then, but she was going to be a grandmother. Sam was pregnant with a little girl. They found a mass in her uterus that they feared would be cancer. They suggested she’d go out of state for a termination and a hysterectomy.
Ryan was agreeing with them until he saw on a call a woman do anything to protect her baby. It made him realize that Sam would never get the surgery. Not even to save her own life. She wouldn’t give up the chance to become a mother. So, he chose to support her.
It’d be a really bad time for his mom if she got arrested for assault.
THE END!
