In tonight’s 90 Day Fiancé, the police had to pull over one couple for speeding on their way to the airport. They were running late. They ran even more late after getting that ticket.
Rasit and Malorie managed to make it in time, but it was a close call. They were super nervous about the airport. They had to make it past Customs. Which Mallorie thought would be a problem for Rasit when it hadn’t been. He actually got done with his line faster than Mallorie finished up on hers and she’s the American citizen. Mido also finished with his line rather quickly too.
Mido was a movie star in his own country who also seemed like he wanted to be a star in the US as well. He was engaged to Debbie. She was the American. Debbie hadn’t been sure if he got on the plane or not. There was some kind of issues before he boarded his flight. Not that Debbie let doubt stop her.
She waited in the designated area on the possibility of him coming to marry her and he showed up. It’s just unclear if he did it because of his great love for the older Debbie or for the first thing that was mentioned.
It takes a lot to leave home to go marry in a foreign country. Mido might be a bigger person than the rumor mill thought he was. Especially if he didn’t run after seeing Debbie’s apartment.
It was a smaller space that he’s used to. Debbie lives in a one bedroom apartment. Her daughter was currently staying with them. She was sleeping on the couch in the living room. This along with Mido’s faith ensured that they didn’t become intimate right away. Mido wanted to wait until marriage.
They still shared a bed. They simply had a giant pillow wall between them. Debbie also wore her most unflattering pajamas. Mido had no interest once he saw that monstrosity.
Though even sharing a bed with him was a big step for Debbie. Debbie hasn’t shared a home with a man in twenty years. She hasn’t been intimate with a man in ten years. She had been worried and there was no need to be. They were other things to worry about like whether or not Mido was joking if he thought big stars were waiting for his entrance into the US.
Thomas for one had bigger things to be concerned about. The American was very much in love with Paula. She loved him back, but they kept miscommunicating. Paula said “Thank You, Universe” after they left the airport. Thomas was left wondering why she was thanking this universe when he’s the one that arranged everything.
He wanted to be thanked. Not the Universe. The miscommunication continued with these two. They got to his apartment and Paula began feeling lied to. She has visited his place before. And she told him what he needed to do to make it a home for the both of them.
Paula told him that he needed to get furniture. She asked for a dining table. She asked for a couch. She didn’t want the place to feel unlived in and that’s how it looked in spite of Thomas already living there.
It’s not even a guy thing. He cleaning up after her last visit and thinking that was it was the guy did. Him eating on the smallest as well as shortest table ever wasn’t something Paula was used to.
Paula complained after the last time. She asked for a dining table with chairs. She even asked if it was about money because she’d happily pay for the furniture. Thomas claimed that wasn’t it.
He said he just got used to eating on that table. Then what about a couch? He hadn’t gotten one and he tried to sell it to Paula as them waking up to the sunset in bed or going out on the balcony. Unless that balcony has a couch, what good is it? Them waking up to sunset was merely a reminder that he doesn’t have curtains. It would’ve showed that he was at least trying to make it a home.
Paula offered all these things to him when he was visiting Brazil. The only thing she wants in return was the same kind of personal investment. His place was sparse
. There was no real furniture in there. His bed wasn’t on the floor and that was a basic sign of adulthood. Then again some of these people ignore signs. Take Ashia. Ashia was warned by her lawyer that the K-1 Visa got denied for her fiancé. She instead asked what were the next steps and not about what they found to make them turn him down.
The lawyer even mentioned signs of fraud. This young lady didn’t ask about it. Her father was curious. He wanted to know what was so bad that that this Nigerian man couldn’t enter the country. Ashia pays the attorney so he told her that them getting married overseas might help.
It might not be enough in the end only it was still something. Ashia then went to her friend who was a prophetess. She asked her friend to bless this marriage. To seal this union so that it does happen. The whole time while her friend was talking there were ducks in the background making noises.
Almost as if the ducks themselves were a sign telling Ashia not to marry Maxwell. She still ignored it. She went ahead with the prophetess. She was also going ahead with her trip to Nigeria. Her mom was coming with her. Someone had to go ask Maxwell the tough questions.
It sure wasn’t going to be Ashia. She may joke to him that he better be on the up and up and that matters little when there’s no follow through. Or when she ignored why her government was turning the visa down. She’s clearly seeing the relationship through rose-tinted glasses and so maybe mom coming will help.
The days in United States wasn’t easy for anyone. Mido wanted to know how far New Orleans was from Los Angeles because that’s where he really wanted to go. Poor Rasit was understanding that life in a small town in Alabama was vastly different to life in Turkey. He could tell by the sex shops.
He also could tell by Mallorie’s best friend greeting them while she was decorated in the American Flag itself. She even decorated her car to say American won World Wars back to back. Did she bother to get information on how Turkey survived those same wars? Something says no.
Then there was Annabelle. Annabelle left her country to start her married life with Shea. She made it all the way from the Philippines just to hear that he cheated on her with someone named Angela. Whose Angela? Why does his ex-wife want to tell Annabelle about it? It was so confusing. Shea’s daughter also didn’t seem to like Annabelle and there was tension in the small town because apparently people are judgmental there. They all thought Annabelle was a mail-ordered-bride. Shea’s friend went as far as to repeat those rumors to Annabelle’s face.
Annabelle didn’t deserve that. This goes double if Shea was the one cheating. Shea tried to deny cheating and it doesn’t make sense why his ex-wife was so sure. His friend also said that it looked like Shea was single for four out of the five years he’s been with Annabelle. This could be why her potential new stepdaughter doesn’t seem to respect her. As well as why everyone thought she was in it solely for a chance to live in America. It could be an open secret to the whole town that Shea was still sleeping with other people while telling Annabella they were together.
Shea denied the rumors before saying people perceive cheating in different ways. What kind of explanation was that? He said he didn’t sleep with anyone else. He just got drunk and kiss other people. Annabelle considered it to still be cheating. She also didn’t believe him that he hadn’t gone far as sleeping together because she quickly realized he only told her so that she wouldn’t hear about it from someone else. Annabelle was livid. She left Shea at the restaurant and their future together was up in the air.
Mido also showed he had a dark side. He gotten into a huge argument his fiancé over a video. He was driving the moving truck to the new place and he asked Debbie to take a video of him driving. She accidentally took a photo over a video on her cell phone. He then blew up at her for the mistake. She then argued back. It wasn’t something he was expecting because he thought she’d apologize and try to make things right. She thought he should do the same because he was refusing to talk her afterwards. And the one thing she refused to be was a doormat.
Debbie also didn’t believe that every moment should be documented. Paula believed that she was getting a fiancé not a roommate and so she was going to need furniture. And Rasit was learning about situationships because his fiancé had one, but chose to continue being friends with her ex Brandon.
THE END!
