In tonight’s America’s Got Talent episode, Night 2 of the Auditions came alive tonight! First up was Kevin Quantum. He was a scientist. He considered science to be a talent and he wanted to show it off to the crowd. He didn’t really do a good job. It got a little boring so two of the judges pressed their reject button. Then he set a giant pendulum on fire and the judges still found it boring. There was too much talking. Not much action. Simon was the last to hold out. He ended up pressing his reject button too because he said that the act itself would’ve been less than a minute if he had cut out the talking. And so Kevin was eliminated from the competition.

The audience became an angry mob when they refused to accept the verdict. They only calmed down when the next act followed because they didn’t want to be mean to the baby-faced singers. They were brothers. Their names were Nyjah Music and Zyah Rhythms. They were sixteen and fifteen. The younger one was the cheeky one. He did most of the talking before they performed their original song called, “Heartbeat”. The song itself didn’t quite move Mel B. She preferred their voices as well as their harmonies over the song.

Mel still voted yes because she saw potential that she was hoping they’d keep. The other judges voted yes too. The brothers were the first to make it to the next round and everyone coming up behind them wanted the same. Next up was a guy who just sat on balloons. It was his entire talent. It was also a complete waste of time. The judges rejected it easily. They didn’t even count and the guy was trying to break a record. This is why they have to bring the World Records guy with them or else get lost.

Who knows? He might’ve broken the record and now couldn’t prove it because how the scenes were cut. He was followed by Sando. Sando was a dancer. His specialty was breakdancing. It was now an Olympic sport and not everyone was a fan. Mel sure wasn’t. She gave him a no. Howie and Sofia enjoyed it and so they gave him a yes. It then came down to Simon. Simon decided to take a chance on the guy. He gave the final yes to move onto the next round, but not every social media star had a place on this stage.

Rynia Kando was next. She mixed humor with singing. Like she said this was how Christina Anguilerra would stub her toe and it was funny. There was just one problem with it. She changed stars even as she said how people would react to the same thing. She was a comic. Something that both Simon and Howie appreciated. Mel didn’t get it. She felt the stage presence was lacking on this one. Sofia approved so Rynia was still making it into the next round. And she now has free reign to come up with a new act.

Up next was Laura D. She was Australian. She was a rapper/singer. She performed “Oscar Winning Tears”. She was good. Everyone saw brilliance in her from the audience to the judges. Its why one judge didn’t wait for the voting. Howie was going to give her the Golden Buzzer when Sofia stole the moment. Howie was so upset. He kept complaining. He accused Sofia to her face and she didn’t feel bad in the slightest. She was glad to have given Laura D the Golden Buzzer. The next act was Julia and her dog, Charlie.

The dog was really cute. He was three years old. His owner was an opera singer. She practices a lot at home and so Charlie started to join along. Only Charlie didn’t feel like cooperating tonight. It simply wasn’t his best day. His owner sang. Charlie refused to so much as even bark. They weren’t making it into the next round. Charlie also didn’t want to leave the stage. He found a comfortable spot on the couch and Terry had to escort him out of there. Brad Bryers and Dr. Tracey Skear were soon up.

The married couple wanted Brad to follow his passions, but no one could’ve foretold the horror of it. He nailed a board to his face. Don’t know how he found this talent. The audience just knew they were terrified. Mel pressed her reject button because she refused to watch the torture of a man. His wife on the other hand seemed to really enjoy herself. The others judges were captivated as well. They all voted the couple into the next round. Mel was the sole holdout because she didn’t actually watch the performance.

Next up was a returning act. Yu Hojin was a magician. He used to do his magic a different way until Simon gave him a no in season seventeen. Now, he’s back with a point to prove. He changed up his magic. He went bigger. He returned to AGT and Simon remembered him. Simon ended up giving him a standing ovation afterwards because his act had been good. Howie finally got to use his Golden Buzzer on this one. Yu Hojin traveled all the way from South Korea for that Golden Buzzer and he finally has it now.

Sienna and Holland were soon up. They were from Las Vegas so them possibly winning would work out for them. They wouldn’t have to relocate for work. Sadly, their act hadn’t been flawless. They practiced. It was going well until they bumped in Mel B’s ex up in the air. They hit the sign and its not like they can stop to focus on the person in pain. Not when they were aiming for a chance of four yesses. The hit had knocked the magic out. It was soon followed by Sienna’s ripped dress that she did her best to fix without being noticeable.

The act was part aerial/part dance. They were able to regroup and end it on a very romantic note. It won over the audience who gave them a standing ovation. Simon felt they did enough to make it to the next round. He just had one question. What do they have planned for the future? He didn’t see much future in what they did even as they got the yesses to advance. The next act was inspired by AGT to pursue magic. Geno Plager was ten when he watched Matt Franco on the show and realized that’s what he wanted to do with his life.

Geno got in touch with Franco for advice. He was super nervous about tonight. Terry Crews did his best to talk him up and he reminded him to let his talent do the talking for him. Geno proved to be a great showman. He pulled off card tricks that the judges haven’t seen before and that put him in the next round. He was advancing. Last up of the night though was Cesar Diaz. He was from Portugal. He was nervous too. Sofia gave him a boost. And it was revealed to all be a part of his act because his act was part singing/part comedy.

Cesar performed Frank Sinatra’s “My Way”. He was about to be interrupted when his true talent popped up. He was a physical comedian. He used the whole stage as a prop. He had everyone laughing. The judges couldn’t help laughing along with the crowd. Mel was grouchy with everybody else, but she wasn’t with him. Sometimes what they were looking for was pure entertainment. Cesar delivered on that and received four yesses in return. Well done!

THE END!
